Grasham was on the hiring committee along with the ad, a radio person, a real estate person and I believe the assistant principle. I think it all will work out this week for everyone. I'm looking forward to hearing who his assistant coaches will be??

Sorry but I wasn't referring to the Garrard County job.....I was referring to life in general. There's nothing dramatic about it. The fact is some people just don't like change. If it was up to some we would still be riding on gravel roads in a horse and buggy.

Times have changed. If you don't change with it you will be left holding an empty bag or settling for something else. That's just the way it is.

Congratulations.....I'm glad you are putting your time in on the booster club just like other parents have done.....if it wasn't for the boosters and the alumni clubs the football team wouldn't have much.

You my friend don't know what you are talking about.....the board does not hire coaches or teachers. The site base hires teachers and the principle and ad can hire a coach but it the coach might be teaching then the site base has to approve the coach as a teacher not as a coach. So if you mean board as in site base I agree with you but in no way does the board hire a coach or teacher. The process is over as long as Coach Perry accepts the coaching position. Now as far as i's and t's crossed may do with assistant coaches and that should work itself out. Perry coached one year at Boyle but for me to say they aren't asking him the stay would be stupid but I guarantee that's not a deal breaker for either school. Can Boyle hire another quality coach as Perry...maybe not but they have many quality coaches on the staff so they won't beg him to stay. The only underlying thing is his child.....does he want to move and play for his dad or not....if he didn't transfer then Coach Perry wouldn't be able to watch his kid play his senior year but he's a smart man and he has already worked it out. IMO. Just crawl out and show up next Friday at the theatre in Lancaster. Lol

Thank you and if you are living under a rock....crawl out and WHEN they do announce an announcement come out and support the old NEW coach!!!!! Best thing to happen to that school in a LONG time.

Won't be official until next Friday. Those two can say what they want but all they are doing is trying to keep it quite until the announcement. I understand them wanting it quite until the big announcement. Nothing squeaking here but go ahead and believe what you want. With that being said, the only way Perry is not coach is if he turns it down.....don't think that will happen.

I'm not speculating......from what I know its about getting all their ducks in a row, but things can change.

I agree he is respected around the area and it sounds like you know what some kids would do so I can't disagree with you on that but I just have a hard time believing it would happen.

I think they are further along with one particular coach in the process than most people realize.

I don't know for sure but I think the kids quit because the new coach came in and put his own touch on the program and they didn't like what was going on but I believe most if not all came back before the season started. Don't know that to be fact.....just thinking that's what was told. I have a hard time believing any Danville kids would transfer to play at Garrard unless the parents were originally from Garrard County ........time will tell!!!!

I can tell you one person has been talk to, approached or interviewed, which ever way you want to think it's happened.

I had heard that but there could have been some underlying circumstances with that......I'm just a general observer as to the comments I made about the last coach at Garrard!!!

I don't know the situation at either school but I can't see any student/athlete leaving Boyle County to follow Coach Perry to Garrard County except for his own kid.

I'm not going to get into a debate on this but all I'm going to say is I totally disagree with you and far as replacing his coaching ability. I know you going to say.....he has class, character, he is a religious man.....blah, blah, blah.....not questioning any of that. I do question his coaching, being able to adapt to change, being able to make adjustments at halftime or during the game, using players the right way to win a game, etc.......Just glad there is a change as long as they hire the right one!!!!!!!!!:ylsuper:
