Or David Johnson last year

What if Andy Dufresne had a decent attorney that got him an acquittal at his murder trial?

Back in the day before ESPN secured any pro sports contracts, I can remember watching Warren Moon play for the Eskimos in the CFL, watching unlimited hydroplane racing with Chip Hanaur, and Australian Rules Football. That, and waking up to the Sportscenter loop running until noon

What if Gloria Gaynor didn't actually survive?

Mad at you.
I had so many picks taken 2-4 spots ahead of my draft slot last year. I had my draft mapped out and counted four picks taken ahead of me in the same round and seven within two rounds.
I hope the opposite is true this year.

Good stuff as always

The lack of good running backs past the second round is staggering

People need to get their stuff together and not hold the site up when it comes time to pick players. Some people.......

I know of several soccer officials with three or less years of experience who have opted to become volleyball officials. Pay is comparable, you are inside, and parents and players aren't as radical

And was quite adamant about it not being considered.Julian Tackett said it is not being considered. -
I hate to see this. I thought he was doing great work in St. Louis.

When things like this happen, you always hear the coaches muttering "This is what happens when you take 7 on 7 out of June."
Both days were hot. McCracken folks did a great job of running it and communicating.

All I have to do is mention Jack Brickhouse, Jody Davis, Dave Kingman and the Sandberg game vs Sutter to know who the true Cubs fans are.
I agree with Rocket. How many Golden State Warrior fans did you know in 2008?

I think they will have a tough time winning six games given their schedule

I'm nowhere near a Reds fan but I really like Eugenio Suarez. Glad to see him make the all-star team. Liked his game after seeing it last year in a three-game series at the GABP.

Marty should have retired years ago. His chapped butt attitude over small things has never been a good look. At least he didn't induce fans to throw things at the umpire this time

Marshall didn't look bad over the summer. Watched them three times. It was actually announced last week that he resigned then changed his mind. He then resigned this week.

I was actually having a good day until I was reminded of last year's roster

Caldwell County won 15 straight Fifth District titles from 1991 to 2005 before the streak was ended by the KHSAA, who moved them to the Seventh District

Well I also wouldn't say offer scholarships just to offer them to have a full roster. I'm sure he had no way of knowing both Baker and Vanderbilt would have basically season ending injuries. With those two they would have been 10 deep last year. Meaning having those other roster spots full with scholarship players just take up scholarships to offer to better players the next year. Like how this year they are trying to bring in a boat load of talented guys with many guys possibly reclassifying. If they filled it with more scholarship guys last year just to fill out. Then they wouldn't be available this year.
Last year was just bad luck with injuries. Which is not something that happens often.
A top tier program in the nation can't be down to eight scholarship players when there are two empty scholarships. It just can't happen. You are allowed to carry 13 scholarship players. UK had 11 last year. Winyard, Baker, and Vanderbilt all missed significant time.
There is no reason why Calipari or his staff can't find someone like a Darius Miller or Derek Willis (doesn't have to be a kid from Kentucky) to fill the other two spots and coach up for 2-3 years. If it were me, I would fill the two spots with the two best perimeter shooters I could find.
-
It doesn't bother me if Calipari fills his scholarship quota on the roster fully unlike last year.
If Payne and Brad Calipari get minutes when there are 2-3 open roster slots, then I'm not a fan. There should never be a reason why UK is down to eight scholarship players for any game.

Trigg County 34 Monroe County 20
in KY Football (High School)
Posted
Trigg County fell behind 20-0 a minute into the third quarter. They then scored the final 34 points of the game for the win. They got a scoop and score on one of three Monroe turnovers in the second half. Trigg QB Cam Jordan ran for 151 and threw for 199. Trigg's defense held Monroe to 10 rushing yards in the second half.
A couple of key points. Monroe's starting QB didn't play due to injury. Also, Monroe was on the verge of going up 27-0 when they hit a receiver on a screen for an apparent touchdown. He went down at his own 40 with a cramp. The Trigg scoop and score soon followed and the game's complexion changed.
