Wayne County surprised me but I knew they were going to be a great team. While I was disappointed with the performance, I am ready to see improvements this season starting with the defense. The Falcons have the right ingredients to make a long run in the playoffs, it's all about getting better and improving weekly. Defense will win ballgames like these.

Big upset indeed, I agree. I did not see this one coming and I'm more shocked by the margin of victory than Glasgow winning. The Falcons probably had their worst performance of the season and it had to be against a 15th district rival, Glasgow. The Scotties took full control early and kicked it in 5th gear in the 4th qtr. I expect them to learn from this defeat and bounce back to the winning side. These two teams meet again this season and will play in a district contest at Glasgow the next time they meet which is Feb. 4th. It's possible that they could meet again in the 1st round of the 15th district tournament as well. The Falcons have time to correct things before the district tournament. The 15th district is up for grabs this season...

Yeah, they won region and made another apperance in the Semi-State. That is an exceptional accomplishment and I was not meaning Monroe County is unknown name to all. What I meant was - this is a brand new season. When you loose Chad Wilson, Jacob Hodges & several other seniors who have made an impact, you will have some inexperience at the first of the season. For example, replacing Wilson, Lincoln Arnett should be the front runner for the QB position. I'm not sure how much playing time he had in 12' but I do believe he started the Heath game in the playoffs and got some quality playing time. Like I said, I believe at the first of the season the Falcons will be "unknown" then after a game or two they will be just fine.

I believe the Falcons will have a successful season. Monroe may start the season out "unknown" but after a couple games, Petett will have the Falcons playing some hard nose Monroe County Football that we've seen the past years. I see that the schedule isn't fully posted on KHSAA. Does any Falcon fans on BGP know the full MCHS schedule this season?
