  1. If Holmes plays like the did last night I'll say HSS by 5+ but if holmes can find thier way out of this little slump (not as in losing but playing scrappy) they're in, they could come out with a W in a close one! Beating Highlands on thier court is always tough. So basically it depends on what Holmes team shows up.
  2. Battle of the HHS's. Last year Holmes beat Highlands by one on a buzzer beater by Jynea Harris. What will the outcome be this year? Who wins.. Thoughts?
  3. How can you say that when the HHS-HHS Game hasn't been played yet?
  4. The lady dogs looked slow tonight, didn't seem like the team they were at the beginning of the season.
  5. Which school in KY has the biggest gym? Holmes and Mason Co come to mind when I think of this. But not sure which one holds more fans. What do you all think?
  6. 26% shooting ? Had to be the worst performance shooting wise by the Bulldogs this season. Hard to win when your percentage is so low. How many turnovers did the dawgs have?
  7. Agreed. Should be interesting to see how Mayes does against her old team.
  8. Holmes also played Boone their second game of the season. This is a completely different ball team than from the beginning of the season. Holmes wins but margin depends on which holmes team shows up!
  9. Holmes, Holy Cross, and Highlands are seen as the big three in the 9th region. All teams bring different styles of play. What are your thoughts on the three teams?
  10. Indeed, highlands is a very good team! #10 can stroke it. Highlands plays smart, and moves the ball around efficiently looks to catch the D off balance. Highlands could've won just like HC did. If these two meet in the Region it shall be interesting to watch again.
  11. IMO HC's press they played was to just slow you down, they weren't very aggressive with it until the OT when they set up. But HHS moved the ball very well against their press.
  12. Holmes has seniors : Desean Brumfield Sean Sullivan Andrew Arnold Alex Vancini Shawndale Mincy And maybe more returning. All key players. Arnold is a huge assets at running back! Brumfield: hell of a ball player, great quarterback, and quick. He can run the ball too. His pass completion last season may not be all that bc of so many dropped passes (that should of been caught). Sullivan: kid plays with a lot of heart, great defender. Shawndale Mincy: should be back to 100% after tearing his ACK his sophomore year. Quick WR. Vancini: great big man, should help O line a bit this year.
  13. Never thought of that. This game was a learning experience for the Bulldogs. IMO I feel this game is a weight lifted of their shoulder. Being undefeated has a lot of pressure and now with a loss they can better themselves and fix the little things. Should be interesting how they bounce back next week playing NCC and Highlands.
  14. What if Holmes would of gave Englemon a break and put both Gulley and Mayes in when both of the twins were in for HC? Could that of been a difference in the game? And Holmes offense in the first half against the zone wasn't there. Looked like they were trying to run a weave offense against it..
  15. Holy Cross (H) Paris (A) Walton (H) Lloyd (A) Harrison Co (A) Bellevue (A) Bourbon (H) Mason (H) Scott (H - Sr. Night) Newport (A)
  16. Agreed. IMO Gulley had one of her best defensive games of the year. 7 blocks I believe and some of them were monster! On the other hand, Holmes and HC both have a great shot at winning the region! If/When they meet again, it'll be a great one to watch.
  17. These two teams will meet again! Great game by both teams. They represented the 35th well. Should be interesting come tournament time.
  18. Sounds like the Bulldogs were on fire. Should be interesting to see how Thursday nights game against HC plays out!
