It was a very exciting game to watch. Very happy for these young men! Logan Drew is a beast, he got those Cougars started! That kid is all over the place in a good way. I love a kid that can score and then does all the other little things on the field too.

Wow, what a ride it has been these last two days. Conner went into the tournament as the number three. The only district game they won was against Boone. They lost to to Cooper 4-1 and Ryle 3-2 during the season. Of course we would have to play one or both to win the championship. Our kids pulled it out and put together some of the best soccer they have played so far this year. For the first time in school history the Lady Cougars won a district championship. Senior Jayden Boelter was named the tournament MVP. In the championship game she scored three goals and was a beast. Senior Nicole Alig and sophomore Emily Bischoff also named to the district all-tournament team. Good luck to the ladies in the regional tournament.

Yeah, I do not recall our school even being allowed to play on Sundays. We had a freshman tournament once that we were not allowed to finish because the next round was on a Sunday. I guess getting a new principal and AD has changed that. I am not against a Sunday game but not a championship the next day.

Conner's senior day, lots of love spread throughout this game. Jayden Boelter broke the single season scoring record for the school and is up to about 70+ goals for her career. This was a tough district loss for the Lady Cougars. There does not seem to be a clear favorite for the district title.

Nice bounce back win for the Lady Cougars. The Conner goalie went out in the first 5 minutes of the game with a possible concussion. She took a shot to the nose from a Boone knee.

This was a physical game. Parents from each side were a little extra because of it.

This one was a tough one for the Lady Cougars....maybe should have brought up some kids from the JV team to help since two key players (Bri Faught, knee and Jayden Boelter, head) were out with injuries. With this being a district game, you would think all the stops would have been pulled out. The line up still seems a little wonky, some kids seem to be playing in positions that are unfamiliar to them or just not suited for and would do better else where. Maybe that is a downfall of being a new coach but it just does not seem like the talent on the team is being used in an effective way.

Physical game, didn't seem to be called fairly. The center ref seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else but at the game. Still impressed with the Drew kid from Conner. He hustles and plays hard.

The Campbell v Conner game was played Wednesday 9/4. I posted a little late.

This game really could have went either way. There were many missed opportunities for each team to score.

I really like the Drew kid for Conner #5, center mid. He doesn't get a lot of attention. He's really scrappy and a play maker!

Congrats to Conner’s senior Jayden Boelter for earning player of the week. The senior scored her 50th goal last Saturday during a win over Collins. She went on to score four goals in this game. She is surely a player to watch in Northern Kentucky. Congrats to Jayden!
