How can there not be a spot on a team when they are not limited by scholarships?

Like I said, it is what I heard. I don't know any more details that what I posted above.

From what I have heard, Racke was done dirty by Butler. He originally committed to them when they extended the offer/expressed the want for him however you want to put it. He was later told (at some point this week) that unfortunately they did not have a spot for him any longer. Keep in mind, this is just what I have heard and I don't know the level of truth to it, but if it truly is the case, in my opinion, that is completely unacceptable on Butler's part.

Does Fogle have good speed? How big is he?

No maybe to it, it clearly says best 12 offensive and best 12 defensive players. I am very disapointed because he is one of the 12 best and he played all 15 games. Really, really reallly!

Very confused as to why you are so upset.. Like others have posted before me. This team is 1st team offense, 1st team defense, and a list of ATH. The ATH category, in most people's opinions, other than yours would show that the player has excelled in all areas of the game. Offense, Defense, Special Teams etc. If you are saying that ATH is not a position, then why do colleges recruit HS players as ATH? Because they can play multiple, and fit into many schemes.

Personally, I feel like it's a bit more of an honor to be placed in the Athlete category.

Congrats to Sherry getting to play at the next level. He will fit well in the Mullins offense.

UD has a nice campus. The surrounding areas are great as well. Love the city of Kettering. I have a feeling Bir will really enjoy his time there and he will no doubt have a great football career as a Flyer. Congrats Blake

And if he was that good, has all those accomplishments and is a senior, why only two local schools. If he's that fast and good, they would be all over him. Something doesn't add up! Hands? Football IQ? Has straight speed but no quickness? Something has to be keeping him from being place in elite status if he's everything you say. I don't know, I never had a reason to go see him play.

Have you watched his tape? There are plenty of links to it in this forum if you'd like to take the time to watch it and educate yourself on the matter. You may sound like less of a fool. No hands? Low football IQ? Speed but no quickness? All statements are proven false within the first couple clips.

You are questioning is 4.4 time? You question 3 colleges ( UK, UC, Ball St) with laser technology? Along with coaches holding watches? Pure stupidity.

He doesn't have his recruiting endeavors splattered all over the Internet because he is a humble person. He's not a chest beating look at me look at me type of kid. . Like I mentioned previously many kids choose to keep their recruiting private within their families and close inner circles, Fogle is one of them. Scout, rivals and the others have to be updated by the player in case you were unaware.

The reason I did not answer your question about UK and UC previously is because Fogle does not want his business public. When the time comes, up you'll have the answer to your question.

In case you or any others can't tell, I am close to him and have a very low tolerance for Internet tough guys who talk out the side is their heads. Okay, maybe I exaggerated! So then with the fact you post above, why aren't they drooling over him?? As others have said, its their job to sniff out talent! Nothing against the kid and I hate that we're singling him out and maybe that's my fault, but there are legitimate reasons the D1 scouts aren't showing up in NKY!

I agree. I do think D1 is a stretch for most of them, but someone could take a chance on them. As far as the Timmons example, they might have shut him down, but I wouldn't call that competition. Was the qb good enough to overcome the closer coverage? Were they bringing a saftey over behind the guy in a sense to have a security blanket is he did get loose. Maybe the QB didn't throw his way thinking they would use him as a decoy. How did the other receivers do against them? What were their numbers. I have no idea, but that is the questions I would ask if they shut him down.

Yes the Franklin Co QB was good enough. He's graduated early and has already enrolled in college. At a D1 school.

That's your opinion and I have mine. Yes, across the usa, yes. Even is if it's not, then multiple hundreds! Heck, there are probably 300 kids in florida and texas alone! Have you ever seen football outside of NKY? The college DB's and running backs and wide receivers all run that or very close. Heck lineman are running 4.9's these days. where are all these fast kids coming from that are filling up all these skill positions in college?

And this one tops the previous one... Linemen running 4.9s? Maybe hybrid defensive end/outside backers are clocking 4.9. But thats about it.

Your idea of speed is greatly blurred. And to answer your question, yes I've seen football outside of NKY. I've been around the game a long time. I played at the college level. I know talent, I know speed.

Also I must doubt your comment that highlands has 2 or 3 players that are equal to the player that Fogle is. The kids numbers were tops in the state all year, he was on every single all star team known to man. Played in both the best of the bluegrass and the KY vs TN border bowl, Top 26 award winner... The list goes on and on.

Fogle has been doubted, and overlooked for as long as I can remember. There will always be those out there who really don't know what they are talking about. He will be playing on Saturdays next year, of this I have no doubt. He has two visits left to take before making his decision.

It's really funny how naive some people are in NKY. Yes, these are all good players, but D1? C,mon! We are closer to downtown Cincy than several of the Cincy teams! We are just not at the caliber of the other players. Period. We thinks we're good because we look good and rack up decent numbers against very average competition. Teams around here refuse to step up and play competition and this is the result. No one wants to take a chance of losing, but then you get no credit, respect or exposure. It's our own fault. Quit coddling these kids and go play better competition and maybe they will get discovered. Recruiters at the D1 level get paid a lot of money to find the talent. They don't "overlook" NKY. They know what's here and they aren't impressed enough to pull off the highway on the way to Louisville. That's the reality! I'm sorry some don't want to admit it, but that's it.

 

I know the fogle kid is big, good and fast. And I wish him the best. HHS has 2-3 kids that are probably close if not faster, but you don't hear them saying D1 for those kids. If he were D1 potential, he should have put up "Quick Like" numbers over the years against the average competition they were playing. Quick did it against the best. Conner did it against very average NKY teams. I'm sorry that truth may hurt, but do you know how many skill players there are out there that are his size, run just as fast and maybe does something better than him? 1000's! It's really kinda disturbing that people in NKY don't really get what's really out there.

To add.. There are also others that have not yet made their decision and have yet to commit.

There is more going on than most know. Many kids choose to keep their recruiting to themselves and their families rather than post updates on every Internet site and blog known to man.

Who's are the worst?

Conner's field is pretty bad. There is an upslope between shortstop and third base that makes fielding even routine balls tricky, and their outfield is a mess. The band used it for a practice area for years..

I did hear that Fogle was catching passes which is smart of him. I was told Fogle is heading to Morehead this weekend. Big get for Morehead if they can get him there.

That is the first I have heard of that visit.

UNC and UK stopped by Conner this morning to watch Drew throw.

They had him throwing to C. Fogle. It is my knowledge that they were evaluating the both of them.

Ya, I know very little just heard some rumors floating around. I would assume it is early graduation. Also has a possibility of playing at Chipola. I heard this from a source who would like to stay unanimous.

Heard from a reliable source Tanner Norton will enter his name to MLB draft and is guaranteed to be picked in top 20(rounds) by multiple scouts. Best of luck to the kid.

High school kids don't "declare" or "enter into" the MLB draft. Anyone who has not played professional ball in the past can be drafted in the "first year player draft".. I don't want to get into the details of the MLB draft, because it's complicated, but my point is what i said above; high school players do not have to enter, or declare to be drafted. It just happens if they are drafted, they will be notified.

2. Highlands

3. Cov Cath.

4. Stevens--Lloyd best first baseman in the region 6 foot 5 frame smooth swing high average needs to hit the weights to add power committed to Mt. St Jo.
