I'll be sitting in the pew right next to you.
But then again who would of thought the CCH Conner score would of only been 13-12?
Nasty weather had a lot to do with that one.. Unless for some reason Franklin Co's field is a swamp on friday night, I don't see either team scoring less than 40 pts..
If you watched the USC vs Oregon game tonight, that is probably what the Conner vs Franklin Co game is going to look like. (Oregon beat USC 62-51)

2 D1 qb's. Stud in Timmons. Stud in Fogel. 2 bad defenses.
It will either be 63-60 or 7-6.
Not to be a jerk but it's FOGLE... and If the final score is 7-6 Im going straight to church, because the world's ending.

There was some very unclassy play by 1 Anderson player, on back to back to back kickoffs. The anderson player singled out the same player on back to back kickoffs and, well all I will say is the player should of been thrown out after just the first incident. The rest of the Anderson players were very classy and handled everything just fine.
It's always sad watching the seniors of the losing team afterwards when they realize they just played their last game. Except for the 1 Anderson player, I felt bad for the rest.
You love calling people out on being "classles"

Trinity wins.. because they are Trinity

I think Fogle had a 40 yd TD reception.
Yes, I remember now, I stand corrected. It was a short pass i believe, and I mis-remembered it as a run. It's not really a big deal as long as the Cougar offense keeps getting the ball into the endzone..
-
Conner had 457 yards of offense. Scored TDs on 7 straight possessions. Got the ball for the first time with 6 minutes left in the 1st qtr. Went 3 and out. Got the ball back with about a minute left in the 1st qtr and then got on a roll.
Barker 10 carries 159 yards 3 TDs 1 TD pass
Fogle 3 TDs
McKeehan 7 carries 92 yards
McKeehan being back adds another game-breaker to the offense. Kid is fast and tough.
I am not sure that Drew threw for a TD.. I know He ran for 3, Fogle ran for 3 and Quinn Campbell ran for 1. Having #29 back in the lineup for Conner makes a huge difference. McKeehan had his "coming out party" last year against Franklin Co. with over 200 yds rusing and 3 TD's i believe.. Hopefully he and the others on the Cougar offense can replicate last year's efforts this Friday night.

Scott put up 300 yards of offense.
Im guessing with 300 yds of total offense, they fell apart in the red zone? were there many turnovers? Crazy to think that a team putting up that many yards only comes away with 10 points.

The SK vs CC game should be a good one rematch of an earlier district seeding game. South Oldham and Cooper also have a rematch of an earlier season game.. This one has potential to be exciting as well.. Conner vs Franklin Co will be the most exciting IMO, rematch of last year's 2nd round with Conner scoring 84 pts and setting multiple offensive state records. All three good games.
I am picking Campbell Co by 14. South Oldham avenges their earlier season loss against Cooper with a 7 point win. I'm not even going to attempt a prediction of the Conner vs Franklin Co game, however I will say Conner wins in a high scoring offensive showcase..

I did not think FC would handle Scott as badly as they did. I honestly thought Scott would be able to put up more than 10 points.

Conner moves on to play 11-0 Franklin County.
Check the scoreboard. Make sure all of the bulbs are working.
Do score boards go to triple digits? They may need it next Friday..

IF Fogle is 100% then Conner will be tough to beat and may make it to the finals, but then again they could lose Friday night also
He looked pretty impressive last week against cov cath.. Dusted everyone when he broke off tackle for a long TD. And his closing speed on the INT, and when he ran down #3 from behind to stop a score was impressive. All of that on a soaking wet sloppy field.. I'd say he's probably 100% and if he's not, he's darn close. Also, I doubt Montgomery County wins Friday night.

I would agree that bowling green is the favorite to win 5A. However I don't know if Franklin Co will be their opponent in that game. Franklin Co and Cooper could potentially both loose in the first round. Cooper more so than Franklin County. Anderson county is a tough team, and could beat Cooper if the jags overlook them (similar to what happened to conner last year in round 3) we've seen all year that Franklin county's defense is the peverbial open gate. They haven't really stopped anyone all year. If Scott can focus, and tighten up on a few defensive stops, they can realistically beat Franklin.
Aside from any upsets, I see Franklin County and Cooper advancing. Second round games will be key. In a Conner vs Franklin County rematch, I look for a similar outcome as last year. Conner comes out on top during a shootout. In my opinion, the winner of the Franklin County vs conner game in the second round will play bowling green for the title.
With all that being said the teams still have their first round games to play tomorrow night. I have seen many upsets in the first round. I hope all the teams come focused and ready to play..

I'm just using the same criteria they used after last season. Funny how I nailed that near the beginning of this season isn't it? I predicted earlier this season after RE and others claimed Conner was better than Cooper last year even though Cooper beat them last year that this year if Conner beat Cooper they wouldn't use the same criteria and no matter what would claim Conner to be the better team. Next year if Cooper beats Conner they will still claim Conner to be better.
That has been my point all along.
You are living in the past my friend... The majority of your posts bring up last year's game... These threads are for this season

So you are admitting that Cooper was better than Conner last year then?
I'll wait for your answer.
You were on the Bengals roster in the 70's?
I've already said that Conner was better than Cooper last year, and they are better than them this year..

I think most would use this logic. Just makes sense.
Most would use it... It makes sense to everyone except Hellbird and UK#1fan

That is the logic that I use.

Didn't you claim last year along with RE that Conner was better than Cooper?
Didn't Cooper beat Conner last year?
I thought so
I wasn't a member of this site last year little buddy... But I'll say it now if it makes you feel better Conner was better than Cooper last year and still is better than Cooper this year.

seems BGP is the only one with Cooper behind Conner hehehe
Seems BGP staffers are more informed than the other ranking sites.. How can you honestly rank Cooper higher than conner when conner beat Cooper, and beat them soundly? If you have any sense, you cannot logically do so. I guess that is why you are in agreement with the others, right?

So the suspensions that happened during the game, were not part of the game? Interesting.
Q.O.P has a good point.. The majority of the highly intelligent posts in this thread are about how many "brawls" Conner has been involved in this year, several posts about the Conner Vs Cooper game etc.. This thread got way off track about 3 pages ago..

Are you asking about Timmons? He plays WR/Slot reciever.. To my knowladge no, that is not true.. I believe he has interest in going there, but they have not made an offer. He does have several offers, as does their QB. 4 D1 recruits that will be playing in the same game Friday night, 2 on each team.
