  1. Also, coaches over schedule do to the fact of rain games.
  2. Smiley should also contribute this year.
  3. I'm sure other teams will elect to play small ball. It doesn't necessarily mean Cov Cath has an andvantage on other teams. You may not have seen this type of play from other teams, but it doesn't mean they aren't capable of playing small ball.
  4. Personally, I would move Boone ahead of Beechwood.
  5. Personally, I would move Boone ahead of Beechwood.
  6. Understandable. What about Smiley? He seems to be a pretty good pitcher.
  7. Do they have the same team back as last year?
  8. It seems from reading a few post on this site, a person can't ask a question or make a comment that isn't POSITIVE without being criticized here for what ever reason. Generally, if you hear an athlete is getting D1 offers and they end up choosing a D111 school, most people probably wants to know why that happened. It's not a knock on the kid, being able to continue your dream is great. I congratulate the kid!!
  9. Very objective opinion Larry!!! I like it though
  10. Another other issue I have with the BCS, why does there have to be 44 days before the championship game is played? I feel the longer you wait the more time it takes to knock the rust off. By the time teams find their footing the game is half over. What happened to the time where the National Championship was played on Jan.1? LSU was a totally different team than during the regular season. Not saying the outcome would have been different, but there was no life in the team. You have to wonder if it has something to do with the time these kids have off before they play.
  11. Both teams have one loss on the season to one another. LSU won the SEC championship game while going undefeated in the SEC.
  12. I’m not surprised by the Bengals. They were overrated and give too much praise this season. Their season was set up by the lack of competition on their schedule. They played only 4 teams with a winning record this year. If Baltimore, Pitt, and San Fran were removed from their schedule the win loss record of the remaining teams are 42-84.
  13. I totally agree with you totally! Luckily in baseball the playing field is a little more leveled out. Now, football is a different story. As said before, I think all KY school districts should be open enrollment.. QUOTE=Clyde;4244009]I guess I failed to point out that the reason CCH "draws" is not the all-boys aspect. It is the "success" aspect ...just like BW and like Highlands football. You disagree?
  14. It seems you are defending something that was not in my post. I never once talked about that's the reason they are successful. I simply stated, there is an advantage from pulling from an all boys schools. Let's agree to disagree!!
  15. Sorry, I misstated when I said, "the majority of students". In my initial post, I was inferring that I felt there is an advantage from pulling from all boys’ school compared to a public school. It's not to speak negative about CCH, it’s just my opinion!!!
  16. Ok, well I guess I'm wrong..No kids come to CCH to play sports there. It's all about the education..
  17. Am I wrong to think the majority of kids who enroll at CCH are there for Football or Baseball?
  18. IMO the advantage would be, more players to select from when fielding a team. Where as a public school may have 45 tryout. An all boys school may have 150. If you can't see the advantage in that, then I don't how else to explain it to you. As far as CCH since 2005, I don't know the answer to that question. It's not like they haven't had the talent. This isn't a debate, just my opinion.
  19. No, the other schools are not throwing girls on the field. If you think there isn't an advantage from pulling from a all boys school you are sadly mistaken..I always wonder why some people get upset when the obvious is stated..
