Look de and lb. there are so many big fast kids in the US. I mean you got only 1 out of 100 Hs seniors getting full rides that's on a national level. In ky its lower. I don't know. Again looks don't mean anything. What is a look??? An offer is all that matters.

He looks good. Will be the RB next year for sure. But them 15 coaches came for 3 kids. Any guesses who they were??

Look Dixie had no less than 15 d1 coaches stop by in the spring to look at kids. Two got offers.

He would replace every player with SK kids.

Lol. Some how none of them paned out!! SK has a great thing going. UK fan just doesn't get it with all the D1 talk. They don't care what u do on Friday night in HS!!

Trust me on this. You could get a hand written letter every week for a school and never get an offer. Then you can can get an offer from a school that never sent a letter. You can have a coach call every few weeks and never get an offer. Then a coach can call for the first time and offer.

Letters don't mean a thing

You must be sneaking in an inch or two.

Powell is more like 5'8 175. But very fast and strong laterally very quick. If he stays healthy D1 offers will come his way.

If he has 500 yards rec. and 7 TDs he needs to be in the top 26. Then we are back to the age old question are numbers king or ability??

I still take Stokes over Hedger at TE, right now, as a HS player. Kid is a player, stands out every time I watch BW play. Is Stokes a TE?? I just watched the first half of BW Dixie. Kid didnt line up one time with his hand down. More of a H back/ slot receiver.....

He is one of the most complete TEs in the state and will be playing on Saturdays for a D-1 school as a TE.

Won't know till he shows up and competes with the other players. Football starts all over. Every kid on the roster was all state all something. They were very excited to have him and think he can fit right in. Now they could say that to every player. Don't know.

If he plays tackle he needs to gain 70 pounds. I know they like him at TE. Coach Cannon wants him at 250. He pick AP because they sold him the idea of playing TE. They like the 2nd level blocking and use the TE much like Dixie. Fits into the offense. Now what happens in the next 4 5 years i don't know.

This is why they look at that first and foremost. They cant go off of film only. What if the kid plays bad competition? What if a HS WR is very fast tall but his team runs 90% of the time? On the filp side you have a kid who is shorter slower but has 100 rec. at the end of the year. Is he better?

I will say this. If you dont meet the height weight they are looking for at a position they dont care how good you are. A 6'1 190 TE will never get an offer as a TE. Now I do think they offer the top players in the state with the size/speed to play at that level. All I was was saying is you dont just show up at a camp as a big guy and get an offer.

Hedger is a much better blocker. TEs Blocks 90% of the time.

At camps hedger wasn't the only 6'5 230lb TE that showed up. In fact most are that size. Kids from all over the U.S. So it's more than size only. when you compete vs 15 20 TEs that are your size.
