I understand that UKfan does what he does for laughs, and likely doesn't honestly believe most of what he types. It just baffles me as to why someone would ruin their credibility for "laughs." But hey, as the saying goes, "to each his own."

You're right, I shouldn't make vague generalizations like that. SK has few fans that often like to push the issue a little more then I like, which tends to get frustrating. But, I understand that this isn't an accurate representation of their fan base. My bad. That being said, I still believe that HHS could get a much more competitive game on the schedule for next year, or one that would draw more interest.

Should Highlands even waste a schedule spot on the SK next year? We can probably find a better team with less miserable fans.

I would think that any person that cares about their program would respond the same way. Any time I see someone who gets off on attempting to belittle a program for winning championship, I think to myself, man, this guy must have been picked on in middle school.

Actually I don't even need you to explain one of your points in order to shoot it down. Ft. Thomas is actually not landlocked, as it borders the Ohio River. I am not sure if this is intentional ignorance, or if it is just that solid Simon Kenton education showings its colors. Get a map.

And I can somewhat understand how a state championship might seem meaningless to someone who has never been there before. To be honest, I feel bad for those who don't get to experience it, because it sure was special the three times I went. So I get where your jealousy is coming from, I really do. But while you are trying to grasp for any thread of relevancy, just remember who is, and likely will be for a long, long time, the real king of NKY football. And because Highlands is the real king of NKY football, I will go ahead and predict a win tonight by the State Champs In Training.

In 2007 HHS beat BG in the state game. So by your logic, Highlands only has 1 "meaningful" state championship, which is still one more than that mediocre team from kenton county has.

Everyday should start with a good laugh, which is why I decide to read threads started by uk fan. I know he isn't serious, and doesn't actually believe what he posts, but give the man some credit, he is a great hype man for the underdog. His impeccable ability to take a mediocre program and make them sound like they are even remotely relevant is honestly second-to-none. So here's to you, uk fan, thanks for providing me with a good laugh this morning, for mornings in the past, and hopefully mornings in the future.
