  1. I have no personal grudge. The beauty of this site is the anonymity so their are no politics involved. People can call them how they see them. I've actually said Kinmon is probably a good man and great at something else just not a head basketball coach. Being loved by a community does not equal being a good coach. Believe me when i say I have no dog in this fight. This is a site for people to give their opinion on high school sports and I enjoy it and will continue doing so. One of the best things about sports is the non-personal debate about strategy ect.. Hence the popularity of this site. In the end I'll refer to my previous statement. In the last several years at the varsity level has Grant Co. won more than they should, as much as they should or less than they should? I think most agree on the answer to that.
  2. So does Gallatin County have all this stuff in place? Feeder systems and AAU and all the stuff needed to keep developing the younger kids? I'm guessing they would have to to be as successful as they have been.
  3. I'd say when you compare the size of the schools Gallatin: 362 South Oldham: 1409 Yeah I'd say "David Vs Goliath" is pretty accurate. Almost 4 times the size.
  4. I don't agree with every statement gator makes just the one i mentioned. That is true every once in a while but year after year? I'm not buying it. If it were that simple we would all actually be head coaches instead of just playing ones on Bluegrass Preps. The bottom line is are you winning at the varsity level as much as you should, less than you should, or more than you should and I would have to say in the past few years Grant Co. has won less than they should.
  5. Sounds like Kinman was not the right man for the job if he was there 8 years and all this hasn't been worked out. I agree with Gator, school that big should be better. As my father say's "no excuses just results" Him moving on might be a blessing. No disrespect to him, probably a good man just not a head coach.
  6. Sounds like Coach Kinman left someone a lot of cleaning up to do. shouldn't the feeder systems and all that already be in place?
  7. If Gallatin goes hard the whole game they can win this one. Never count out the wildcats. Saw Steve Simpson talking to some Grant County Administrators at the regional tournament tonight, he might have his mind on the Grant County job. It wouldn't surprise me. He is from Grant County isn't he? If anyone knows the answer to that I'd like to know. He would be good for Grant County. Good luck to both teams.
  8. I'd say it's hard to complain about any 20 win season if you are an 'A' school. Morgan has arrived people! Maybe i'm overreacting but I feel this kid could run the 8th region for the next few years.
  9. I hear coach Jones and Shane williamson got the T's.
  10. Should be a good game. Walton played a great game against Gallatin in the "A" finals. I look for GC to decide their own fate. If they go out and play wild and hard and in your face defense they should not have any problems, on the other hand if they come out flat in the second half, which they are prone to do, they will have trouble.
  11. This game may have been the arrival party for the Morgan kid. I think he is a freshman and if i'm not mistaken not only did he somewhat take over at the end of the game but it looked like he wanted the ball. A good sign for GC fans.
  12. Should be a good game. Walton has the home court advantage but Gallatin travels well. Gallatin by 12.
