I think his family was a huge reason he took the West Jessamine job in the first place? You talk about a whale of a coach, in my opinion, coaches like Wood are your best coaches. Why? Because they have gone into programs like Morgan County and West Jessamine, whom had never won before and then turned them into winners; and not just winners, but did a complete 180 with the programs.
The situation at West Jessamine has to be tough, though. Because no matter how hard the kids and coaching staff(s) work, 9/10 years, the season is going to end by the 2nd round. That's at best. Lexington Catholic and Boyle County will continue to put a strangle hold on that district and region until they get tired of doing so.
Wood, his staff at West Jessamine and the players should be highly commended on a job well done.
