  1. I am assuming that they put 2 teams together as well. But if not, what the heck? Why are they in there twice. I wonder what coaches and players are thinking about that.
  2. I agree with you that you have to go out and take games. No team is going to give it to you. These kids are relentless and they all feel like they are the best. DSAS is likely the best on paper, but dont under estimate the heart of a champion and all of these kids are champions (in that it is likely that most of these kids have won a lot games and/or tournaments). Also, DSAS is coming in with a target on that jersey, it'll be great to watch how the respond. I agree, I thought I would see the Charlotte Court and/or the Royal Family.
  3. I guess we'll have to wait and see. There is going to be some pretty good talent spread across the board. All these teams will be ABSOLUTELY ready to go to battle.
  4. Forrest is a STUD, you're absolutely right. But, I strongly disagree that just he alone puts the WKY Elite team up there with DSAS.
  5. Yeah, I have seen this team a few times this spring and some of these boys in highschool ball. I saw that they will be playing in the KY state tournament this weekend and they have Shining Stars and Higher Level in their pool. Derek Smith Allstars 16u is also in that tournament with the Lexington Ice as well. I think the NKY Bulldogs can make a run, but they will have their hands full. I will be interested to watch their games. I hope they do NKY proud.
  6. I think there is one team that is "loaded" and that is DSAS. What a team they have assembled there. The Lexington Ice and SS are good teams. I've only heard about Fucci for the Ice, and they say he is great. I have seen the SS play a few times and Gilbert and Schuette are real good players. Smith is also a nice player. If Josh Forrest plays for the WKY Elite they will be solid. That kid can carry a team. The NKY Bulldogs also have some nice players in Trammel, Stauffer, and Flesch. I dont know much about Higher Level or The Truth.
  7. According to Jody Demlings blog, here are some of the players I have seen listed as playing for the Higher Level team: Reginald Breeden, Moore - Higher Level Basketball Tim Harrison, Moore - Higher Level Baksetball Tony Horne, Male - Higher Level Basketball Tre Jones, Manual - Higher Level Basketball Brandon Ritchie, DeSales - Higher Level Basketball
  8. DSAS is a good pick for the 16's, but every other team in that age group should be a good match-up IMO. Anyone know the players for the Higher Level team?
  9. They usually do. They've been playing against 17's so far this summer and winning. No big deal. They'll be exciting to watch.
  10. Here is the 16U pools Pool 1: The Truth Lexington Ice WKY Elite Pool 2: NKY Bulldogs Shining Stars Higher Level Pool 3: Hoyas Elite DSAS WKY Elite Not sure why the WKY Elite are listed twice unless they have 2 teams. I am surprised the DSAS 16's are playing in this tournament. I thought they would play up. Pool 2 should be a good pool and very interesting to watch the NKY Bulldogs (former Shining Stars players) play against the current Shining Stars. Does anyone know who this Higher Level team is?
  11. You are right, he did develop these players. But, they are good talented players. I dont know that it would be right to say that he has done more with less. Whether these kids were winning championships in 8th grade or not, they still ended up to be pretty talented, right? So if not more than a few runs to a regional with these guys, then who? Does anyone know, does Scott have a good young group of talent on the bench? (I know Kellen, but other than him)
  12. Kudos to you for your massive number of posts. Very admirable. How would you feel about Carr at Highlands?
  13. But, what about O'Connor, Smith, Murray, and Gligorevic? I would say that is some decent talent. I believe even you have strongly argued their talent and potential. If not better than a regional semifinal with these guys, then who or what does it take? I'm not arguing against Carr at Highlands, a coach that will win some games for sure. But, what do you all think about him getting to that next level? It will be interesting to see this play out.
  14. This state tourney should be star-studded and loaded with the best talent in the state. Should be an awesome event. Cant wait to see the results after next weekend.
  15. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Should be an interesting topic to follow. Highlands has some good (senior to be) players now. Returning most everyone I believe. Wonder how Carr would shake out after they all graduate? Some good younger talent there he could develop. Cool.
  16. Yeah, I saw that down there. I dont know what organization they were from??? They had an absolute stud at PG (#22). Also 2 other nice players (#24 and #20). Dont know these kids, but I do know they were Seniors to be (17U).
  17. Will the 16u DSAS be playing up? I have heard this rumored.
  18. Anyone know if Lionel Gaines from Eastern Highschool playing summer ball? and for who?
  19. Would you want Brad Carr as your guy at Highlands? Honestly.
  20. Matt Trammel (Dixie Heights), Bobby Stauffer (Ryle), Jake Flesch (Connor) to name a few of their key players. They also have some other nice players. The played well and won the tournament in Louisville.
  21. The NKY Bulldogs (16U) won the 17U (11th grade) Roundball Rumble at Hoops Basketball Facility in Louisville this weekend. This was originally supposed to be the Nike Classic tournament.
  22. Last weekend after finals at Louisville and all is quiet. I made the trip over to Hoops to check out a tournament going on over there. Who is the "Team Kentucky" team that played in the "Roundball Rumble"? They have two kids that really impressed me, but i dont know their names. Numbers 22 & 24. Really good ball players. 22 was was fillin' it up from 3 point range and had a nice pentration game. Number 24 was a good shooter and had pretty solid moves under the basket. Number 20 was also pretty solid. Also had a chance to watch the NKY Bulldogs play again. They looked real good to me again. Bobby Stauffer had a nice game from what I saw. Probably 18-20 points and 10 boards or so. They also had a nice player, number 24. Does anyone know who this kid is?
