  9. It has rained a lot. Our 3:00 game today has moved to 5:00. They have cancelled the tournament portion of the showcase on Sunday and will only be doing the 5 pool play games. So the ones that were rained out Thursday will play their pool games sunday.
  10. Southern Force dropped our 1st game 3-1 to Birmingham Thunderbolt
  11. Heather Webb (MNH), Dana Adkins (Graves), Mia Aldridge (Anderson Co), Bailey Curry (Anderson Co), Kaci Currens (Anderson Co) will be there playing with Southern Force (Dillender) 16U.
  12. All but maybe one... Kaylee Tow may have had 1 inside the park. What's scary is Adarian Gray missed this season with a torn ACL an she led the team in HR in 2013 with 6 as a Freshman.
  13. Madisonville North Hopkins went into State Tournament trailing Christian Co single season team HR record by 2 HR with 47. After they 5 games Madisonville finished the season with 53 HR on the season. They had hit 6 more in game against Union Co that was called after 3 & 2/3 innings due to severe weather. Mallory Peyton-18 Kaylee Tow-17 Heather Webb-13 Whitney Bean-2 Ryleigh Oldham-2 Bailey Woodward-1
  14. We had another call in the Greenwood/Madisonville North game that was ruled a catch but it's was pretty obivous that the fence had been knocked down before the catch was made. The catch was made standing on the temp fence. Greenwood's Season Ends with 8-2 Loss
  15. They had already blew a call in 5th inning on runners interference that cost North 2 runs.
  16. No its wet Maloneys on HWY 54 also is giving 25% off any pizza to players in uniform
  17. I'll be the loud nervous guy on MHN side. Lot easier when you're out there coaching vs sitting on sidelines.
  18. 2/3 of all innings does seem pretty high. Few years back when I coached at North Hopkins ours was make an apperance in around half the games. It was changed to less than that couple of years ago.
  19. #3 Madisonville North-10 - #11 Livingston Central-9 At game time we weren't sure if we would get game in due to weather around us but we only got a steady sprinkle for top half of inning. Turned out to be a great night for softball an both teams brought plenty of fans (Standing room only) Livingston started of the top half of the inning doing great job of putting the bat on the ball. They had 3 hits in the inning with one being a triple by catcher Lamplee. 3-0 Bottom half of the innings North was able to cut the lead by leadoff HR by Kaylee Tow(14) to make it 3-1 Livingston started 2nd inning again with leadoff hit to LF followed by an error on next batter to put runners at 2nd & 3rd with 0 outs. North made a pitching change bringing Mallory Peyton for Heather Webb and were able to hold livingston to 1 run making it 4-1. North went quick up and down in bottom half of 2nd Livingston Central went 3up & 3down in 3rd inning North had a chance to cut deficit in bottom of 3rd with Tow at 2nd and Webb at 1st but Livingston was able to get out of the inning with 4-1 lead. Livingston added another run in top half of 4th inning on a RBI double making it 5-1 North was able to score in bottom half of the inning on a base hit to left field that made it under the glove to the fence that allowed Morgan McElroy to reach 3rd. Allison Davis laid down a nice bunt that she was able to beat the throw to score McElroy. 5-2 Livingston Central looked like they were getting ready to run rule north and make it an early night scoring 4 runs to take a 9-2 lead scoring all 4 runs with 2 outs. Like earlier in the game North made a pitching move going back to Heather Webb and was up on batter 0-2 when Whitney Bean threw out runner at seconf trying to steal. 9-2. At this point i'm pretty sure everyone in the ballpark but Madisonville AD Coach Quinn figured game was over. He did great job all night keeping North fans up. Peyton Led off the bottom half of the inning with double to CF followed by single by Heather Webb. Ryleigh Oldham drove both runners with a 2RBI double to CF. Allison Davis scored making it 9-5 game In top half of 6th inning Heather settled in and was lights out with 2 groundouts and strikeout for 3up 3down to keep game at 9-5. North bottom half of the inning was able to score on 2R HR by Mallory Peyton(16) scoring Hailey Rodgers that reached on an error. 9-7 Livingston Central went 4up 3down in top half of 7th with 2 groundouts and strikeout. In bottom half of 7th inning North Hopkins had 7,8,9 hitters coming up and they came up big. Allison Davis led off the inning with a leadoff double to CF. Next hitter hit hard ground ball to SS but was unable to advance runner. #9 hitter 7th grader Bailey Woodward which has had several big hits for North this season adds another one with a blooper over 1st base putting runners at 1st & 3rd. At this point the question was were they going to pitch to Kaylee Tow or walk her to load the bases with 1 out with Hailey Rodger, Mallory Peyton, & Heather Webb. Question was answered quick! 1st pitch was hit out to win the game. Great comeback these girls showed bunch of heart coming back from 9-2. Heather picks up the win to improve to 13-2. 3.1(IP), 5(h), 4®, 3(ER), 2(K), 2(BB)-Heather Webb 3.2(IP), 4(H), 5®, 3(ER), 4(K), 3(BB), 1(HBP)-Mallory Peyton
  20. We played a very good Union Co team that hit the ball well we were looking to come out better than we did the day before against Lyon Co.. Our girls chased a few first couple of innings then settled in an made her pitch strikes. Shout out to Hailey Rodgers for past 2 games, Morgan McElroy & Allison Davis they have came up big...Heather Webb started off the the 7 run inning with a leadoff walk then her CR came around to score.Mallory came thru to cap off with a 2 out grand slam. Heather Webb pitched the complete game to improve her record to 12-2 on the season 7(IP) 7(H), 4®, 0(ER), 8(K)
