Rumor has it that Shelby County will be getting a new coach for upcoming season.

Boley will be a junior next year??? -
Butler had 3 or 4 freshmen on the floor at the same time last season. Seemed to work out OK for them?

I have not seen Shelby since the middle of last season at a Christmas tourney...but I think they will struggle with any team that has speed and makes them play at any pace faster than slow. They were huge, but definitely want to play a slow down game. I would guess Anderson will have to play fast after losing their 2 big guns??? If I am correct on both of these, Anderson may still be a matchup issue for Shelby.

Williams did a good job at St. Francis with less talent than he would have at Doss..........good hire if this happens. -

or C. None of the above Just kidding for the most part on that.......people that coach and officiate obviously do it for reasons other than the money. And anyone that has been around knows that going in. But officials make ALOT more money PER HOUR than coaches. Most high school games are done in 1.5 hours.....there are occasional crazy things that happen. Came back to edit........IF the coach is doing all that it takes to compete and run a quality program. I assume you could go through the motions and make a decent little check. -

If you factor in the time, and even give a gas allowance........officials are making approximately 25 bucks an hour.........is that what coaches make (rhetorical question)? -

I was joking.........the first "real" name that came to mind when "big name that moves" was a guy that is coaching girls right now in a city that starts with "Louis".......but have no idea. -

unfortunately you hear far fewer stories such as that......but you bring to mind that good things dont make the news as much as bad ones. Good point!!! -

Not just this thread, and not just any recent happenings----but from the horror stories you constantly hear about......why would anyone in their right mind want to coach these days? (Under the college or pro level where you make millions of dollars for the constant ridicule and scrutiny). I would coach for that amount of money  -

Unless Coach Holland was doing something inappropriate or unethical (which I 100% sincerely doubt), the assistants should not be a factor in whether the head coach stays on. If true, shame on them........and magnifies the job Coach Holland did if the camp was divided??????????? -
One year at each school? So who gets the CAL job next year? Too soon? Too soon?
