Cats try to fake punt and it fails badly and now Bama hast it 1st and 10 at the Cats 32.

Bama has their first lead of the game and are leading the Cats 23-17 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

Just terrible! Barring another Bama turnover not having a good feeling about this now!

The defense once again bent but didn't break and hold Bama to yet another FG and still lead 17-16 with still 7:10 left in the 3rd quarter. I think if the Cats are going to pull the upset they need a good drive here and give the defense a breather and get a touchdown.

An offside penalty by Douglass alum Cedrick Works gives Bama an extra down and they keep the drive alive. You just can't have that in big games!

Touchdown Kentucky!! A 30-yard pass from Minchey to Boyer and the Cats led Bama 14-7 with 14:56 to play in the first half.

A big call in the Cats favor now go take advantage of it. In reality it probably should have been an incomplete pass.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are elevating a defensive back for their Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Per an executive from the Steelers, cornerback Doneiko Slaughter is coming up from the practice squad for the season opener at Acrisure Stadium. Slaughter's elevation doesn't guarantee that he'll be active, though it does provide Pittsburgh with some insurance in case Joey Porter Jr. doesn't suit up for the contest.

Well they did alright the last 3 Brewers at bats by only giving up 3 more runs and lose 20-0. The Reds managed 2 hits and the Brewers had 23. UNREAL!

The Corbin Redhounds (3-1) travel north on I-75 to "The Farm" to take on the Frederick Douglass Broncos (3-0) next Friday with kickoff at 7:30pm. The Redhounds are coming off a tough loss to Pulaski County 21-14. The Broncos are coming off an easy 48-0 running clock win at Tates Creek. This will make the 4th season that Corbin and Douglass have played. The Redhounds won the first one that opened their new field in a classic 6-0. The Broncos have won the last 2 matchups fairly easily 35-14 at Douglass in 2024 and 28-7 last year in Corbin. This should be a very good matchup between two great programs. It is homecoming for Douglass. The game will be on NFHS Network, and I would think on Glicod Sports as well.
