7th and 6th grade Knights are playing in SOAS league. There is a new AAU league forming at N. KY Midwest hoops (Sportsville) starting in December. It's structured just like the SWO league with 3 levels of competition. The cost on this league will be what SWO has charged in the past. Midwest hoops also will have 2 tournaments a month.

7th grade Ockerman is the best. No one can handle Stanley. Can't double team him....he will score!!! I have Turkeyfoot a close 2nd. I want to see Ockerman play Turkeyfoot...very good matchup.

Who are the top 10 7th grade kids this season??? I am just throwing this out there but with what I have seen this past year the top 2 was: 1. Brendan Stanley/NKY. Wolfpack 2. Keiffer Dalton/The Ville

Walton likes to stay independent so they can play kids up. Dan Sullivan runs the elementary school basketball system. Each grade 1st thru 5th play in two different leagues (AAU and 8th region conference).

Who is the top 15 13u players in Kentucky the past season?

I saw both games when Walton played Conner. At Conner on a smaller floor Walton was up the whole game. At Walton on a regulation size floor it wasn't even a game. Conner had 26 turn overs. Walton would beat Conner on a regulation size floor 9 out of 10 times. Conner has no guard play! Can't handle pressure. As for the game against Clinton Co McNeil was played to much the game before and was wiped out. I've never seen McNeil have a game like that. He scored 6pts.

The 9th, 7th, and 4th grade teams are very strong teams. Walton has always had very good guards....when they had a couple of good big guys they have produced strong teams.

N.KY parents for the most part don't hold back their kids.....and that's one of the reason's we don't have many (1) state championships. It's common place in other areas of KY. You can sit there and throw up your arms and get upset about. Nothing wrong with it...no rules have been broken....just can't turn 19 by Aug 1st of your senior year.

Dan Sullivan would be a great selection.....but he's an asst. principal. Trame has only been at Walton 1 year. Walton needs someone who can take over that doesn't have ties to the community (parents). Trame's or someone outside of Walton needs to take over and make the necessary changes to that program without relationships (last names or parents). Lots of talent coming from the middle school and elementary levels.

From 6th grade basketball to high school....school teams can have as many exemptions as they want. The whole team can be holdbacks with no restrictions except the kid can't turn 19 before Aug 1st. In AAU a team is limited to 3 per team. Don't understand the uproar!

Pretty much...any of the teams from N. KY could go and qualify for D2. Most of the teams are made up of 3 to 4 schools. I can't think of any team at any age level that get's kids outside of N. KY.

Southernkyhoops: Do you know anything about the U12 Louisville Suns and the Lexington Celtics??

I believe the U12 Omega is 3 schools Newport Catholic, Highlands and Campbell County...which is probably no more than 5 miles apart.

Have the 2 Omega teams (U11 & U12) decided on which division in state they will play???

Wolfpack U12 won by 11 pts. Stanley and Moeves played well. Moeves has been playing very well.

Give us a report on the U12 and U13 divisions. I believe that the Ville, Tigers and Legends are playing U12. Don't know about U13.

At the BCI the 8th grade Wolfpack lost by 1 to the Avondale Bulls. Great game Wolfpack had the lead the whole 4th quarter until a pivotal no call on a charge took by a Wolfpack player....that basket put the Bulls up by 1. Ref's were letting them play.

He's an exemption by 1 month. Yes he is older but only by a few months.

Twenhofel's 6th. My guess is he will be 6'7" by High school with guard skills.

The Omega Guards are going to have show that they can handle pressure. Robinson had 14 pts (leading scorer) in the second matchup with Omega. Stanley had 11 pts and Moeves 10pts. Stanley is good....Moeves and Robinson are the best combo in this area. Robinson at 5'8" is a head taller than most guards..easy entry passes and Moeves can shoot.

If all the players are from HHS....it's a very good school AAU team!

Stanley is an exemption by 1 day (8/30/96). Came from Indiana were the June/July/Oct birth days wait another year.

Stanley is very good but he plays with the 2 best guards in N. KY....Moeves and Robinson. The 3 players that make that team go are Stanley, Moeves and Robinson. Omega can't handle Stanley nor the full court pressure....guards cough it up too much.
