Just to get us back to something that resembles the thread, is anyone tired of this two school domination every year? I know people that arent affiliated with either school are tired, but I raise the question here because I know a lot of X and T supporters are on this thread. I went to X and there is nothing more that I would like to see than us to run off a few state championships in a row. But after that I would like to see more parity in the game. Do any X or T supporters feel the same?

I hope nobody is suprised if Ballard pulls off the upset. I watched them play last year and they have a lot of speed and a lot of talent.

The only problem is that he plays lackluster teams. Please point out one good team that South Laurel has played this year.

Its pretty sad that one of these two teams is going to get a runner up trophy.

I think it has to be Deuce. He's averaging over nine yards a carry playing the best football of his life. I can't believe that Brutscher was in this poll. I'm not saying that he's bad, that is the farthest from the truth. He is the best passing Qb theyve had in awhile, but did anyone ever believe that a St.X Qb, who runs a "run-run-pass-punt" offense, would get close to a nomination.

Three Reasons: 1) Facilities- X and T are privately funded by successful alumni who can pay for their Division 1 weight rooms, and their luxurious stadiums 2) Population- They both have the largest amount of boys in the largest city in the state and they can pull from anywhere they want, including southern Indiana(where Deuce Finch is from). 3)Coaches- As a recent graduate of St.X, I have encountered the coaches first hand. Most of the coaches there are alumni and their dream job is to coach at St. Xavier High School. They have so much pride in their alma mater and they put more time and effort into their job than a regular coach. They discipline their players to the limit and get everything out of them. Football is the ultimate team game and their coaching makes the players come together better than any other.

St.X's DeVaunte Beach is already starting at linebacker on what might be their best defense ever.

As I recall, Deuce and Neal ran all over the great Trinity D, and Brutscher threw for 2 TD's. If anyone can remember in '05, X's Qb went out with a broken foot and they only had one breakaway Rb in Anderson. Last year they had an unhealthy Deuce and a bad break on the Phillip's fumble that was ruled down. Now they have two Qb's that have seen substantial playing time, a healthy Deuce who is playing his best football since being in high school and a speed demon in Neal. I have a hard time going against them.
