  1. Liggins was serving a one semester suspension for grades, and since this is finals week I am guessing Liggins suspension has ended. He didn't make the NYC trip which leads me to believe he either had class work or finals to take. There's a chance he may have got his grades a little early in order to tell if he would be able to play or not. We all knew coming out of high school DeAndre wasn't any type of scholar or anything, but after the Gillespie experiment Liggins basically had his bags packed and was looking to be on the first trip out of town, so I'd say he probably didn't put much effort into any of his spring semester classes, leading to the situation he is in now.

    That is simply false information.

  2. Cal's Memphis teams ran the DDMO regardless if it was in a zone or a man and it was still effective. It just makes me think that the players still aren't grasping the concepts of it is all.

I think it is because we have so many talented big men, not because our guys dont get it. Cal has proven in the past that he doesn't mind changing how he runs his team. I think we are seeing that this year. Cal is gonna ride Pat and Cousins and Wall.

  3. For those of you that are UK fans that were disappointed in how Cousins acted after the game, celebrating and chest bumping and puffing out his jersey for the UK fans on that side of the court, (yes, they were UK fans) you might as well find a new team to like because those are the same kind of guys Cal brought into Memphis that will soon be donning the Big Blue for years to come. Guys with a lot of talent and emotion and who won't be here long anyways. Get used to it or find a new team is all I can say.

Me personally, I like players with attitude. JJ Redick played with an attitude and I loved it. Dahntay Jones played with an attitude. Gerald Henderson. I love it. It shows not only that they want to win badly, but that they care. Nothing wrong with that in my book.

If you guys would go back and look at the tape of Cousins reaction after the game, you can see someone from that area throw something in his direction. I cant say whether it was UK fans or UCONN, but someone threw something at the big guy, and he didnt like it.

  4. Other's had mentioned dunks, so I just assumed those plays were too. As I mentioned before, I haven't watched every game this year, and I missed the first 10 minutes of last night's game.

Let me retract my statement as I must be completely off base with my observation. The kid is perfect, and has absolutely nothing to work on. He's the best thing since sliced bread. :notworthy:

    :idunno:

    Sounds about right...:D

  5. No it wouldn't.....you don't think UK is thrown in my face everywhere I go? HAHAHAHA

I do wish that he went to Duke, but I hate the one and done....I really wish the rule was at least 2.

    THIS^

  6. Can we please move past the dunks?? You guys are taking it like I'm saying he's horrible. As MJ stated above, we'd like to see some more "finesse" shots from the left hand when around the basket. If he continues to open his body to the defender when he cuts across the lane from right to left, those types of shots will get blocked in the NBA.

 Neither one of those plays were dunks. I have yet to mention a dunk. I guess you really didn't watch those games

  7. OK, I get the point that he can dunk with his left hand. However, you can't dunk it every time. I'm just saying that from the few games I've watched this year, I haven't seen him lay it in with his left. Each time, he's twisted his body to put it in with his right. That's been the only weakness to his game that I've seen.

You mean you missed the game last night? The blazing coast to coast drive with the STRONG left finish? Or the UNC NASTY reverse??? He is better then fine with his left. I can't figure out why you think otherwise.

  8. Nord has been the one hold over on every staff. I think a lot has to do with his ties to the city of Louisville and high school coaches.

So you think he stays at UL? I think I agree, but wouldn't be shocked if he moved to UK.

  9. Where does he end up next year? I have seen some chatter that he may end up at UK as a ST/recruiting co. But I have also heard Charlie Strong wants him back at UL. Anyone have any insight?
