  1. Thanks Crunch! "That's good to know!"
  2. Speaking of blowing whistles, I am starting to notice more and more that some officials don't even blow the whistle at the end of a play. Sometimes there is nothing but silence ? Why?
  3. What about it Offside, did the ball remain motionless long enough to possibly rule that the ball was dead and award it to R?
  4. If that's the case, then they under estimated a talented Eminence team.
  5. I don't think anyone has asked this question yet, but I believe that it's important; how long did the ball remain motionless on the ground before K picked it up and returned it for a TD? Could one of the officials have ruled that the ball was dead, and therefore it could have be awarded to R?
  6. Sounds like the stats from a typical West VA Tech, Mid South Conference game.
  7. It takes a mature person to admit that he blew a call. I too appreciate the ref's honesty and candor. As Offiside stated, I believe that in games that are considered "blow outs," refs probably have a tendency to give the losing team the benefit of the doubt. Too bad it's just limited to high school football. I bet more people wish the NFL refs felt sorry for those poor BUNGLES and gave those losers the benefit of the doubt! GO PITTSBURGH! :dancingpa
  8. I'm sure that there is a tendency among the refs to "bury" the flag pretty deep when a game is out of hand. Safety fouls, however, have to be called regardless of the score. I know numerous officials, and I can't name one who would purposely inject himself or herself into a game to make sure that a team scores. I could be wrong. Have you seen the film?
  9. A few years back, didn't Pendleton County beat an Eastern KY school by 90 some odd points? Letcher County? I can't remember! :irked:
  10. If the officiating was as bad as you say it was, I'm sure that Highland's coach can send a copy of the game tape to the person who assigns the officials in Northern KY.
