Lafayette is 5-3 with a 20.7 SOS. How can they be dropped out of the Top 10 in this situation when teams with worst records and worst SOS are in the Top 10?

  2. I will give this a shot:

    1. Trinity ... I feel pretty good about this one. :D

    2. St. X

    3. Scott County ... there really should be no dispute on this.

    4. Butler ... it is really murky in Louisville as they are beating each other.

    5. Ballard ... a stronger strength of schedule and Eastern win gives them the nod over Eastern.

    6. Eastern ... the loss to Butler plus losing to Ballard last week puts them here.

    7. Simon Kenton ...you may not like all the small schools on the schedule, but they have played a tough opponent every week.

    8. Henderson County ... the Christian Co. win and solid performance versus Bowling Green get them to 8.

    9. Male ... they are making it tough to keep them in the top 10.

    10. Madison Central

How can you call it a solid performance against Bowling Green when they were losing 21-7 after the 1st quarter and the game was called due to thunderstorms?

  3. Strength of Schedule

    1. Trinity at Manual - 53.6

    2. Saint Xavier at #7 Male - 38

    3. Scott County vs. Henry Clay - 12.9

    4. Butler vs. Southern (10/4) - 15.4

    5. Eastern vs. Ballard (10/4) - 21.1

    6. Pleasure Ridge Park at Seneca (10/4) - 0.4

    7. Male vs. #2 Saint Xavier - 22.1

    8. Henderson County at Daviess County - 23

    9. Lafayette at George Rogers Clark - 23.4

    10. Bryan Station at Paul Dunbar - 18.1

    S.K. - 19.2

It seems as though Lafayette has played the toughest schedule outside of T and X. I would say that has something to do with their "inconsistent performances" early on. However, the last 3 weeks it seems as though the tough schedule early has gotten them prepared.

  4. This game was dominated for the most part by Lafayette. Halftime yardage was 220 to 83 yet the score was only 20-13 Lafayette(Bryan Station 2 def TD's).

They allowed Bryan Station to hang around long enough to make it competitive by turning the ball over.

In the end, Bryan Station took the lead but couldnt hold Lafayette from scoring and winning.

Lafayette junior RB Kylan Nelson with yet ANOTHER ridiculous performance against a good Bryan Station team.

    420 all-purpose yards and 3 TD's(1 rush, 1 rec, 1 punt ret).

140+ rush yards, 70+ rec yards, 75+ kick off ret yards, 130+ punt return yards.

  5. I heard a lot of chatter last week on various websites talking about how people wanted to come see Elijah Bell put on a show. I can tell you this, if you went to that game Friday night you not only saw Elijah Bell with a very below average performance(according to his season stats so far), but you also had to have taken notice of a few Lafayette players who upstaged him!!!

    RB Kylan Nelson- 18 carries, 140 yds, 3 TD's, 2 rec, 19 yds

WR Tranard Chester- 6 rec, 160 yds, 3TD's

    QB Garrett Peavler- 15/26, 299 yards, 3 TD's

  6. Kylan Nelson for Lafayette had 11 total touches, 254 yds, 3TD.

Kylan had 1 rush TD(61 yds), 1 kick off return TD(75 yds) and 1 fumble return TD(26 yds).

Not to mention the 47 yard punt return(not for a TD).

Quite a night by the kid Id say!!!
