Could you give me a current guard in the 9th who in your opinion is a "good shooter"? I do agree my statement was a bit overdone. Time will tell.

Marty Petroze has joined the coaching staff. Last season Marty assisted Brian Neal at Thomas More and prior to that assisted Coach Darpel at NDA. Although he will have to make a transition to the mens game he is a coach who gets very much in tune with the players.

Once again the Colonels will have a lot of options to figure out. Baker can jump out of the gym and shoot the ball too. Guard speed is going to be unmatched, but speed can kill too. Thelen is one of the best. Connelly is simply the most fun to watch as he can do things that don't even seem possible. Lots of good shooters who didn't see much varsity time last season. I know it is nice to have options as a coach but having too many options can cause team conflict. Coaching this group of talented men is going to be the key.

Not much for pre season ranking of teams but this year might just top last years excitement in the 9th region. I can hardly wait to watch it unfold. Walton should also be fun to watch as well. Lots of talent in all classes for the girls programs. Boone gets my nod until someone proves they are better. Champions rights.
