Lynch should be considered in this argument, they consolidated with Cumberland in about 1980. Count them, and things change a bit. This could also be the reason these schools don't have as much playoff: They got beat by Lynch, like everybody else did. Also, Cawood didn't exist until the mid 60's or so.

Johnny Unitas, Walter Payton, Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders. CJ doesn't deserve to be named in the same breath as these great players. He needs to go to the Raiders and be with Al Davis, who has destroyed this once beloved franchise.

What's going on with that place? They seemed to run off McNamee, who from an outsider looking in was a favorite son, now there looking for a coach again already? How long was this coach there and what happened? Are expectations unrealistic there?

Discipline can only help grade and behavior issues to an extent. These things have to be fixed at home. Too many parents expect coaches and the school to raise their kids, and they just can't do it. Kids and parents have to be accountable for their behavior, don't blame the coach, or someone else. That is what is wrong with our society today.

Seems a lot of posts have come out in favor of Brumley. Crumjr, you said he ran the O at Scott, did he also run it at Southern? If so, for how long? Did he run it a few years ago when they had that very good team? He seems he has paid his dues also. Any word on who else will interview?

2 positions on that. One is that if they stayed with the Big 10, they could still play a lot of teams that have been there rivals for quite a while. The other is that is the Big East is even weaker than the Big 10, especially in basketball, so you would always be a contender. I don't think either would let them join their conference football only. Who do you think the Big 10 should pick up? They have to have 12 teams to have a conference championship game.

What about Boyd at Henry Clay? UK sure could use him.

Congrats to the Bears. I hope Coach Larkey brings in some of the head coaches from the 3 schools coming together as assistants, especially Canady at Evarts and Reynolds at Cumberland. I think it would help to bring in players, and they would be great additions to the staff.

What about Cawood'scoach? Appears to have done a good job, he's relatively young, and a local guy.

Va. Tech was in a major BCS Bowl. You need to put in some weaker teams when you play a murder's row of 8 SEC games.

I saw the Blue-White Spring game last year. Hartline looked small,slow, and weak armed, but I had just seen Woodson, who a lot of players looked that way against. I have seen Pulley play in the past, and he seems to be the better QB. Off feild issues, all I have heard are laziness ones. Any one have any more info on it?

There has been a lot of talk about the football coach at the new school, but what about the basketball coach? What kind of talent will the new Bears coach have to work with next year?
