Top Juniors in the 10th region?
breds balla replied to mcraycraft's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Malcolm Thomas for Harrison county is apretty good all around player. A 3 sport athlete and good at all of them. He had 18 points and 12 rebounds against a great Mason county team. His only problem is consistancy. He's a streaky shooter, but always look to penetrate. -
The center for the Harrison county thorobreds. I think his name is Malcom Thomas. He doesnt have the body weight of a center but goes up like every rebound is his. He's 6'5 and still growing. He plays more like a guard. But he averages 11 points and 10 rebounds a game. Great kid in my eyes.

Point Guards - Who are the good ones?
breds balla replied to passtheball's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I'd have to add Fonze Custard to this list. He amazes me with his court vision. Although he trys to force a couple bad passes every now and then, all of his great assists overshadow these as if they never hapened. He also has great handles. He can dribble through some tough situations and draw the defenses attention and then get the ball in his teams shooters hands. I really like the way he plays. -
West Jessamine 26 Harrison County 23

I believe Harrison County didn't show alot because with 40 seconds left in this game the breds had the ball on the 40 yard line and had all their timeouts but continued to run the ball. Why, I do not know. Because their pass game was as productive as it has been all year. I'd have to say stepp is gonna have something brewed up for the colts when they come to Harrison. Keep in mind that the breds will be fresh, with this game following their bye week. -

Deming Will be the team to beat in this disrtict. Harrison Will be way down from the past 2 seasons. They will have a tough time the next couple of years. Franklin and Talbott had about 35 ppg combined. The team will have to step up as a whole. -

Brett Franklin has graduated and will be playing basketball at Lindsey Wilson College. Fonze Custard will be returning though, but will have a tough task on his hands in a tough region! Good luck to the breds!! -

What about Harrison County? What are they going to look like? -
Played with a kid from Bullitt East earlier last week. Great pitcher and very consistant at the plate.

 Wow, no matter what the poll may be about you always find a way to throw a negative line out at Harrison. I don't know what it is about you camel fans, but you all just hate the Breds. I mean now that i think about it, it makes since why. But get over it. Brandon Martin may have dominated on the mound (everytime) but, he did not have the greatest bat on the team. He came around and got 2 key hits against the Colts of west j. But if i recall correctly he didn't really win any games for the breds at the plate. Any of these yound breds can work hard and become the pitcher that Brandon was. Brandon was a great young man and will be greatly missed by the breds. But he's in the past, the breds have to move on.

Okay, he throws "very hard" my bad old guy. But that still doesnt mean that the knights are going to hit the ball or score runs, it take runs to win a ball game and a pitcher does not put runs on the board. :thumb: And.. No, he did not. But these two teams faced when the breds were still maturing. This game was a long, long time ago and LCA did not even throw their best pitcher or even one of their top pitchers, the guy only threw about a consistant 80. Speed was no factor in this game, it was lack of concentration and many errors were made by the Breds infield. Thus leading to a major loss early in the season. -

Thank you. That is what I pointed out above. Harrison defense is up there with the best of them. I look to see hits from Lex Cath and a mistakeless defensive effort by the Breds. This game could go either way, no matter who the knights pitch, that does not put runs on the board in their favor. :thumb: -

I agree on one thing old guy. I've heard that this Maronde kid does throw the ball fairly hard, and you're saying that the Breds won't be able to hit this pitcher. Okay, say they dont hit the ball, I believe to get beat the other team has to score, don't they? I'm not saying that Lex Cath won't hit the ball, i'm saying that the breds defense has been quite flawless these past couple of days and they what is at stake on every play. I think the Breds are as focused as any group of kids could be going into the state tournament. This game could get very interesting. IMO. Go Breds!!! :ylsuper: -
Game 2 of the series, what do the brilliant minds of BGP think about this one?

Harrison County 3 West Jessamine 2
breds balla replied to Hilltopper2005's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
Great game. Very hard fought win by the Breds as they go 1 up in the 3 game series. -
Van Issac from Harrison County is a great QB, one of the best I've seen in a while. He has great receivers that can go up and get many balls, one of the main reasons they went further than any Harrison County team ever has this past year. I look to see his name out the alot this upcoming season.

West Jessamine/Harrison Co. Prediction
breds balla replied to harrisonfan3776's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
I beg to differ. Harrison hasn't had the toughest schedule, but not whatsoever a weaker schedule. Harrison has had to fight to win some games this year, and suprised a bunch of people with their wins because they're so young.
