In the not to distant past these were the super powers of the 16th region and now they both are fading, especially Boyd. I know it has been discussed in game threads but not in a thread of it's own. If you look at their current rosters both are lacking in overall talent and upperclassmen. Someone in the know tell us what is going on.

Do you really believe that Ashland will be better when they replace Bonner with any of the above mentioned players?

I didn't realize he had that many. As bad as Boyd looked back in November that looked even worse tonight.

I don't know how many points Terry had but he had two 3's in the first half so I think you might be a tad bit off.

Elliott's subs are averaging .8, 2.1, 2.8, .1, 1.6, .9. They have score a total of 133 points. If they are playing as much as you say then they must not be very good.

I doesn't take class or brains to back off when you are in command, just common decency. It's a sad day when we start patting people on the back for doing what is obviously right.

Last game Ashland had Bowling and Boyd had Wilson, Steele and Messer. Advantage in this deal to Ashland. This one could get ugly.

It is my understanding that the only team losing more players than Ashland is Boyd. I will go with the Tomcats by 25.

It's funny that I read it should be a great game, I'm picking Elliott by 30. That would not be a great game to watch. :lol: For anyone that saw the Elliott/West games what did West do to stay in the game?

I still don't understand the inclusion of Hicks on many of the list.

There is another thread about attendance and I notice that someone from Elliott Co. said they were turning people away at their home games. Given the size of the gym at Menifee this could be a potential problem. What if you plan on going what time do you plan on arriving?

Attendance at Ashland games is certainly down, not just this year but over the past few years. You would think the student section would be bigger given the fact that half the team has quit.

Kinda makes you want to :puke: doesn't it. I think Elliott is a mature, veteran team that would be ready to play come Friday regardless. To imply that a blowout is coming because of last year is off base, imho.

Dale, finally a voice of reason. I think Elliott is a big favorite but I like you think it is scary to see how over confident Elliott's fans are and it has been mentioned that there were similar predictions this time last year.

I guess I weren't because I went back and reread the post you quoted and nothing about the number 2 team was mentioned. Elliott Co. may very well blow them out of the gym. Actually if they are as good as the Elliott posters on this board claim then they should have no problem with a bunch of freshmen and sophomores. Either way last years game will have no impact on this years contest. Rose Hill has a new cast of players and coaches.

Reality is that before the Faulkners joined May's staff he wasn't considered one of the best.
