Last home game. I'm missing football already.
The game started with Louisville fumbling the kickoff and the Bulls recovering it for a TD. It went downhill for the Cards from there.
I tailgated next to a bunch of UofL fans. Great people. Pics of them coming up later but this one has to lead the way ...

About a half hour ago, Mrs. S heard rustling against the window. She exclaims "Oh how beautiful! Honey, come look!" I come into the room to and see what she's looking at.
Me: "What do you mean beautiful! That's a cardinal!!!!"
Mrs. S: "So?"
Me: "A cardinal. A Louisville Cardinal????"
Mrs. S: "Oh."
This is an omen of some sort, but it can't be a good thing. :irked:

That's USC's problem.That's not what USC says about 2003. -
A Duck confused with a Beaver? Wait! Isn't that a Platypus?I put Oregon St. on the title and not Oregon, another Rambler brain fart....sorry.:jump:

I do it. I use Esignal as my information provider. It has a monthly fee ($$$) and has way more data than you need to do simple trend trading, but if you wish to get fancy, you can formulate a strategy from scratch. To effectively trade the Forex over an extended period of time, you need to have multiple strategies. Most Forex brokers, provide online tools for more than basic moving averages and Bollinger bands.Do you keep up with the currency exchange rates or let your Broker do that. Not many investors, probably have traded in this area.

Some mutual funds, but I primarily trade the Forex.

I had the same thought after watching that HBO documentary last night.Coach Carr's pending retirement scares me. Those Michigan kids love playing for LC. This could have the same kind of impact as when Coach Bruce was fired before the '87 game. I hope not.Go Bucks! Beat Blue!

Around these parts this time of year it has to do with some Gainsville coach trying to beat the King of the Bowdens. Florida/Florida State on the 24th.It's only the biggest rivalry to OSU and Michigan fans and maybe Big 10 fans. Ask Texas/Oklahoma, Mississippi State/Ole Miss, Clemson/South Carolina, Army/Navy, Alabama/Auburn or several other fans what is the biggest rivalry and you'll get a bunch of different answers. During the 80's and 90's this game was far behind Oklahoma/Nebraska, Florida State/Miami, Alabama/Auburn and Tennessee/Florida for national prominence. The game is only HUGE nationally when both teams are title contenders. Otherwise its just another big, late season rivalry game along with 5-6 others that are much more important to the fans of the respective teams than to the rest of the country. -
Have your folks come by the handicap lot in front of the stadium at around 5 (not lot D, but the one right off Dale Mabry Hwy.) . I'll share a coke and a burger with the enemy. The bulk of my immediate family will be at this game...being that I have to fly to Tampa the first week in December and January, I couldn't justify swinging this expense....I really wish I was going to be there...that said, barring any inclement weather I don't look for that it to play any factor in the game. The Cards are now "officially" in a survive TO advance mode.....more later. -
Uncle Milty would be in my top 5.Any list that Milton Berle can't make it in the top 10, let alone top 20, is invalid.Calista Flockhart? Simon Cowell? You've gotta be kidding.
I'm just glad Flockhart and Cowell came in behind Lassie. By the way, if Lassie is on the list, where's Mr. Ed? :irked:

I consider from now until election day November 2008 to be Jim Shue's season. Remember, rhetoric flows downhill. Next October should be a blast. :ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

Forcast for Saturday is a high of 76 with no clouds and a low of 50. Could be a little chilly at game time, if it's as windy as it was at the UC game.Tampa. -
WOW! I'm glad you got the tickets, but that is what field level seating costs at Nippert? That's a bit steep for me. What do the economy seats cost?Go UC!! Man that's hard to say but I'll be there cheering them on. ($60 season tickets couldn't pass that up) Come visit section 134 second row -
Yup. 8 PM. Last home game for the Stampede.
We'll get there around 5 for the tailgating festivities. I had to buy 4 tickets for some friends yesterday and the closest I could get to the field, with that many seats together, was section 316 row U. That's on the upper deck in the southwest corner of the stadium. For 50 yard line seats, it was section 308 row AA, so it will be close to a sellout, if not so. The student tickets and sold total for the UC game was over 57,000. I figure this one to be about that.
That actually shocks me. I thought the bandwagon crowd was bigger than what it is. I may have trouble getting tickets next season.

My wish would be for the Fighting Zuks to meet up with the Gators in some bowl and make hand bags out of them.

I was a bit wild during my younger days. Well, I woke up one morning after a rather extreme party and found the B&O turntable destroyed. I tried to fix it, but the logic board was cracked and split. To replace it would cost more than a new one, and a new technology offered clearer crisper sound with no service noise ... Compact Disc.Blown up, worn out, or stolen? Because equipment from that era, unlike today, is built to last. The living room of the first house I bought was too small for the speakers, so I sold them.
When tuner failed in 1995, I decied to replace it with a digital version and gave it and the remainder of the system to my son.
The tape deck died for the last time in 2003. The big guy had no need for a cassette player, so it was never replaced.
The amp is still going strong, though. I've had to replace the tubes in the old class AB final once, but tubes, in my opinion, still have a clearer sound than solid state.

I spent $3600 on my ultimate system back in 1980.
Pioneer SA9800 amp
Pioneer TX7800 tuner
Bang and Olufsen 4004 linear tracking turntable
JVC KDA-8 cassette player
Dahlquist DQ-10 speakers
My kid has the amp. Everything else is gone.

Did Staton carry the ball after his last fumble? I don't remember him even being in the game after that.

Why can't they fire him?^ They may have given him the option of resigning before giving him "the boot". I don't know and am just guessing.
"Tom Osborne interim coach......Turner Gill leading the "children of the corn" next season"
The story made it pretty clear that Callahan doesn't believe he and his staff will be back next year, but he will not quit, and Osborne has said that no changes will be made until after the season.
Coaching contracts usually have buyout clauses that pay out in the event the contractor (the university) wishes to opt out of the contract (fire the coach). I believe Callahan just signed an extension after last season, so he probably has a rather large buyout. More than likely, he would not get the bulk of the buyout money, should he resign. If I'm in Callahan's shoes, I do the same thing.
As for the University, from a fiscal standpoint why bring in an interm coach this late into the season? That's just peeing money away. Turner Gill is not going to do it for free and Tom Osborne has his hands full as the AD. Believe it or not, they do have other sports at Nebraska.

Happy Birthday!
Congratulations on getting closer to your goal. I love the way you look at age. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

You betcha, aye! The kettle moraine is a natural amphitheater. I saw quite a few concerts there back in the late 70's and early 80's. Go back when snow is on the ground. Alpine Vally provides not great, but not bad skiing. Of course, I spent most of my time in the lodge.Well, I just got back to the hotel room from the best concert I've ever been to. Alpine Valley is absolutely gorgeous and words can't even begin to describe what it was like seeing Rage in person... -
All who voted in the previous thread will have to vote again.

Male voters say no to Hillary
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politic...ton-poll_N.htm
WASHINGTON — More than eight in 10 Republicans and more than half the married men in a new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll say they definitely wouldn't vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton for president.
The poll found that 36% of women wouldn't vote for Clinton, compared with 50% of men — and 55% of married men. Obama had comparable appeal to women and more to men. Clinton's appeal overall falls as income rises, the reverse of the findings for Obama.
