Today is a happy day in the TTC household. I had my 6 weeks appointment with the surgeon and have graduated from the horrors of the leg immobilizer device to a brace that actually allows for some bending of the knee (up to 40%).:dancingpa I'll be on crutches for another 6 weeks, but at least I am gaining a little mobility with the new brace. The doc says I can start driving in 2 weeks as long as the vehicle accomodates the brace. The only downer was that the doc said I would have to go under the knife again to remove all the hardware that is currently holding my knee together. I was hoping the junk could be removed with just a local or a "twilight" sedative but no such luck.

 

 

I can't wait til the Lexington Ski Club posts its trips for the 2009 ski season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may sign up for all of them.:D:D:D:D:D

However, skiing???? Did they replace your knee with, titanium? :eek:

I agree, I think this loss will pay big dividends for the Hounds if they are serious about winning the district and region this season. Sometimes people get fat and happy and forget what needs to be done in order to get the job accomplished. Coach P is not one to shy away from making a move or two in order to prove his points. I was also impressed with the Evans team. I thought they played under control and seemed to be well coached. That is the school of Darryl Dawkins and Chuckie Atkins of NC state fame. Great game to watch.

Wish I had been there to see the game. Hope the Hounds come this way next year. I would to see them play Clearwater or Gaither again.

Actually, I have broken my left and right ankles twice, each. Farming accident (right), football (right), basketball (left), and the last time was my left ankle in 1998 stepping off a curb on to a parking lot.
