  1. Believe it or not, I did that once or twice back when I was on oxygen. They most likely sought out one of the few non-smoking areas in the casino. Sometimes they have an entire floor that is non-smoking.

Just because you're on supplemental oxygen doesn't mean that you stop your life and sit home. I admit, it's not a very friendly environment for a respiratory patient; but it's not impossible. The ventilation systems are usually pretty good. You just have to find a good spot--or one of the non-smoking areas.

What never ceased to amaze me was a situation like this: You're sitting there playing a slot machine, with your oxygen tank clearly visible. Some old geezer plops themselves down next to you and starts to smoke. I used to tell people it was a highly explosive gas...but they could go ahead and smoke if they were willing to risk it. Worked every time!

The "Ilse of Capri" in Biloxi has an entire non-smoking casino on the ground floor and the air is clean with no smoke smell. The smoking casino is 1 flight up. However, the non-smoking casino was dead. Nobody at the tables and nobody playing slots. The smoking casino was packed.

Look at it this way. If you're going to gamble, GAMBLE. :D

  2. Even with the K-Fund, the prices at Commonwealth Stadium are not that bad at all, IMHO.

The equivalent of the $175 per ticket seats in section 132 would be $184 per ticket in section 214 of Raymond James Stadium for USF season tickets. That's on top of paying a single fee of $550 (not per ticket) to join the Bull's club to get to buy season tickets in that section in the first place. :irked:

The $475 seats would be like the $220 seats in RayJay, but the fee to join the Bulls Club to get to buy those seats is $10,000.

Even though there is no Bulls Club fee for south end zone seats, they still go for $147.

I have no idea what the private suites go for. :scared:

Bottom line is that UK season tickets appear to be a good bang for the buck. :thumb:

  3. I think it was said best in the movie "The American President" I am parphrasing here but it stuck with me Micheal Douglas, "You want freedom of speech, you have to earn it, you have to listen to someone who you would spend a lifetime arguing for the topic of what you believe in, while the other person is arguing why you are wrong, you want free speech, let us see you sing the national antheme, and watch someone burn the american flag, then a person can sing about the home of the brave and free"
Close. The actual "speech" contained the following ...

America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours." You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country cannot just be a flag. The symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Now show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms.

Then you can stand up and sing about the land of the free.

I respect the right of the KKK to assemble, but, I hope that they would respect not to associate with them!

They (the KKK) would not respect that. The fact that we, as a society, allow a group like that to exist is a testament to our freedoms.
  4. 2 coffee mugs, laptop has e-mail running, 1st monitor just sitting there, top middle monitor has Windows Explorer, lower middle monitor has MS Word, and the 3rd monitor hasn't been logged in..... Yep, Mitch is busy.

I know. It makes no sense. Nothing I say makes any sense. :jump:

Actually, in that photo, the top middle monitor shows MS SQL Server Enterprise Manager, lower middle has Visual Studio 2003 IDE with code from a C# class showing in it.

Below Mitch is working on 2 websites, written in different languages, that share a database. The lower left monitor shows the asp.net code for the web site showing in the top middle monitor. The lower middle monitor has the code for the other web site written in php. The right monitor has SQL Server Management Studio Express open and showing the shared database being used by both sites. And look, one of the coffee mugs has doubled in size!

    Mitch is movin'! :thumb::D:jump:

  5. The temperature depends on the cut. Ribeyes I like to have medium, but sirloins I prefer medium rare. Regardless of the steak I want it blackened.

I've eaten at quite a few so called 5 star houses like Berns, Ruth Chris, and Sam Seltzers, to name a few. My favorite steakhouse is still Longhorn.

  6. WOW Chuck Smith coaching against his son Brandon Smith. It's possiable that Chuck will coach the UK linebackers on how to stop his son at quarterback.
I don't think Coach Smith will have to worry. Will Brandon even see the field? I thought he was like 3rd on the depth chart.
  7. SHOULD WIN 6-0

Sat. Aug. 30 @ Louisville - There's still a lot of disarray in The Ville

Sat. Sept. 6 NORFOLK STATE - Easy win

Sat. Sept. 13 MIDDLE TENNESSEE - Solid team but Cats win

Sat. Sept. 27 WESTERN KENTUCKY - Easy win

Sat. Oct. 18 ARKANSAS - Hogs enter the McFaddenless era

Sat. Nov. 15 VANDERBILT - Home win for Cats

    WINNABLE 2-2

Sat. Oct. 4 @ Alabama - Hard to win at Bama I say the Tide gets this one

Sat. Oct. 11 SOUTH CAROLINA - Cats finally beat Spurrier

Sat. Nov. 1 @ Mississippi State - Pay back time, Cats win

Sat. Nov. 29 @ Tennessee - Unfortunately not at UT.

    NOT LIKELY 0-2

Sat. Oct. 25 @ Florida - Not in the Swamp

Sat. Nov. 8 GEORGIA - Best team in the SEC IMO

    TOTAL 8-4

I agree with the "Should Win" and "Not Likely" categories, but I only see 1 win coming out of the "Winnable" section of your post. That would be South Carolina, and that's a huge IF.

I'm worried about the Louisville game, too, because it's Louisville.

  8. Is there any damage from the storms last Friday. I know you guys are a good 3 + hours west of where bad stuff was, but heck, we got damage here. Those winds were testy. When I went by Panama City a couple of weeks ago, I noticed quite a few trees down around I-10 and water pooled right up to the interstate like a lake.
