  1. I love the way Central is playing, even though they are losing ground. They are aggressive, run well and hit hard. Deuce was running out of bounds in the 1st half, leisurely, and Central knocked him into the next zip code right on the sideline. They are just a consistent QB away from being really good. They didn't get their first completion until halfway through the 3rd period.

  2. Central goes 3 and out, sack on last play. X fair catches the kick, and sets up the last 10 seconds with several wideouts. Central comes up big with a sack on Brutcher, and the time expires.

Central looked like it was gonna get whipped, but really buckled down after being down 22-0. They are having a monster running game against the Tigers.

    Halftime score is 22-7.

  3. Weird series of events.

X holds Central, who has to punt. On the return, Finch is hit before he receives the ball. X opts to back up Central and have Central re-kick from their 3 yd line. The snap is mishandled, and the Central kicker is running around the endzone, in what would be an apparent safety. He amazingly eludes 3 X players and scrambles for a first down.

Unfortunately, an unknown player for Central is down on the field from that play, and he will be taken off on a cart. No news at this time.

  4. Wow. Chris King of Central is a burner. He just ran 70 yds for a TD, following up his 94 yd run earlier. Maybe local teams should be watching him. Lot of big plays in this game.

    X 22-7 (correction, X has 22, not 21)

  5. WOW! What a start.

Brutcher (X) has a 70ish yard run, but it's called back for a hold.

Central's King has a 94 YD run that is stopped inside the X 1 yard line.

Central cannot get it in from the 3 inch line, and turns the ball over on downs. Outstanding defense by the Tigers.

On the next play, Deuce Finch take the ball about 4 yds deep in the endzone, and runs it 99 yards for a TD. A fake on the XP, and X goes for two and gets it.

    X up 8-0.

Whew. Thats the first few minutes of the game.

  6. From everything I know about Lunsford, If the Green Party was the only way he could run for a position he'd take it. The guy simply wants a seat.

Course, I'm in agreement with most people so far, I'm not a fan of either guy. Any write in options?

"Faith Mackin" Join our campaign. I write my daughters name as a write in on any race I don't like either candidate! :D She's interested in politics, and I'm just getting her started.

  7. Many Democrats were against the bailout plan. Democratic leadership (and I assume Republican as well) didn't apply the normal pressure to sway votes on this one, since it was a hot button issue in many states. It was more or less a free-for-all. Lundsford stated last week that he would vote against the bill.

You can look at Ann Northrup in Louisville and see the same thing. She criticized John Yarmuth, and stated she was against the bill Yarmuth voted for. However, McConnel was FOR the bill as well, and Northrup never voted against his wishes a single time in the ten years she respresented me, as far as I remember.

  8. Most states have a law that allows you a certian amount of time to be off from your job to vote, without penalty. Because the states run elections, all laws vary from state to state. I know that because of when polls open and close in West Virginia, all employees may be released from thier jobs for a maximum of three hours on election day to be able to vote without penalty, if there can be no conditions made for before or after work. (Dont quote me, but I think the polls in WV open later(7:00AM?) than in KY(6:00AM).

^^ In KY, it's 4 hours, unpaid, and you need proof of voting.

No way will I take off, or let my kid miss school for an election. Why do they need volunteers? Both candidates have received hundreds of millions of dollars just this month, pay someone to go door to door! Quit mooching off me. I only expect that when you're in office.
