RH for three

Caught a few on the radio coming home from work. 4 kids from Fairland with double figures, three from Greenup (I believe). 61 free throws shot between them. High scorer 37. I didn't catch the rebounding.

Who had the rebounding, assist, and turnover advantage? How many shots were taken?

What would you call that defense? Chase the ball and give up a layup?

I say the same.

They are scoring 72 on average and giving up 110. They must do a better job of defending. They are giving up too many layups and second, third, fourth chance buckets.

I don't understand why people are so surprised. It was the talk this summer when they were dusted at Fairview by Elliott and others.

mmmbc - it is very obvious that you are always concerned with Coach Hicks and what he is doing. The score did not indicate how this game was played. It was very close through out. Not taking anything away from Hazard; they are a very good team. With four minutes to go it was a four point game. Bath Co. had several key players foul out. Hazard shot 30+ free throws compared to Bath's 8. Bath Co. commited 24 fouls compared to Hazard's 8.

Bath Co. 79 and Paris 43. Bath Co. looked real good in this scrimmage. The first half man to man defense was great. Bath held Paris to 3 first half field goals. the score was 38 to 12 at halftime. Paris has some really good athletes, but Bath co. defense really kept them on their heals the whole game. Metz did not play for bath. he still has a foot injury.

Bath co wins this rematch. They are playing much better and they have way to much speed. Bath co 21 Shelby Valley 7.

mmmbc - as I recall Coach Hicks was 4-1 when he stopped coaching last year. The year before that he was 19-11 with a district championship. Now you are not suggesting that greenup is going to post a better record than that this year are you. Like I said in an earlier post you need to stop worrying about Coach Hicks and worry about greenup.

mmmbc why are you so jealous of Coach Hicks. He is not at Greenup anymore. You never have anything but negative things to say about him. He did a good job at Greenup. The kids loved him and played hard for him. He had the program in great shape. He had four straight winning seasons and was coming off a district championship. Now he is here at bath working harder than any coach that I have ever seen. The community is excited, and the kids all love him. I spoke with him the other day and he had nothing but good things to say about greenup and he said that he hoped coach leach had success and he hopes the administration supports him better than they supported him, because it is about the kids. I have been around basketball all my life and I can honestly say that coach Hicks will have our program at the top of the 16th region.

Nets. I was there on October 20th, which was media day. I saw them measure him with his shoes on and he is 6'5". Last year he was 6'2", but he has grown. I have no reason to lie. Kids do grow.

mmmbc you need to stop worrying about Coach Hicks and the Bath County Basketball program. Things are going great. We are very excited to have Coach Hicks here. He is working harder than any coach that has ever been here. We are going to surprise a lot of people this year. And by the way there is no player ineligible. But for your information - Joe Mabry (6'4" junior) Transfer from Rowan Co. was ruled eligible by the KHSAA a couple of weeks ago. Now we can go 6'4" with Mabry and 6'5" with Scott Trusty. With the good perimeter players to go with those two could mean good things for us.
