  1. Should be an interesting matchup. Mason still has a ways to go in shoring up the run defense, however, to stop Russell. A look at East's rushing stats tells me that; they rolled up nearly 300 yards last night.

A big opposing teams line has always given the Royals fits. On both sides of the ball.

This year that situation may actually be more true than most.:scared:

  2. I thank that Russell will be OK. People there season is not over, they lose one game and theres people saying there going to lose three or four games in the regular season and be a #2 seed in the district playoffs. If Russell would have won this game there would'nt have been 40 hits on this thread. People Ashland is a 5a school they are suppost to win this game. There a lot of people that loves it when Russell loses. It just don't happen that often, they are only a 3a school with a lot of pride and a couple of state rings not like Ashland with 9 or 10 championships. Russell is Russell if somebody beats them than there's a lot of talk.

It wouldn't be so bad if Russell supporters would think a little more realistically

( then hope for the best ) when the Russell may actually be down this year.

    :irked:

  3. They also have a narrow win against a very week 1A Paris team, and the other teams they have defeated are far from quality this season.

We are getting off subject for this thread, so this will be my last post.

This was the first game of the season.

Mason Co. has a totally new starting O-line, and a new starting soph. QB.

Paris scored first, and it took a bit get things rolling in this game. But, Mason Co. scored 20 unanswered points by the end the game.

    Final score 20-6 Royals.

Taking care of business like I explained in a earlier post.

  4. Yeah Bear Paw it makes next week game Bears vs Bobcats even more big and the Bears also have Estill at home too! We just might have the district this year and the road to state may go through Harlan County!!!!!!

Who's building these roads ! ?:scared:

Just kidding, had to say it...sorry.

Although, that is a big game next week! Should ( will ) be interesting to say the least.:thumb:

  5. Paducah Tilghman has really struggled....

    Breathitt County has really struggled....

Russell takes it on the chin vs. Ashland....

Mason County has been less than impressive....

Henry County is makign a strong case to find their way into the 3A Top 5..... still need to beat a quality opponent though.

Mason Co. has been taking care of business.

    3-1 only lose against 6A-Boone Co. 28-18

  6. Hard to predict a score in this game.....Henry Co. has really sold them self short in scheduling competition.

So coming off of a 3-7 year in 06 and playing very close COMPETETIVE games to Trimble, Eminence, North Oldham, and Owen. Getting crushed by much of their other schedule including Carroll Co, who should they have put on the schedule? Probably wouldn't have made much sense to schedule many of the local large teams (Shelby,Oldham, South Oldham..etc) Remember contracts run for two years, and HC was not very good at all. You have made this comment on several occasions about their schedule and I am just wondering if you knew something nobody else could predict?

No, just call it like I see it.

I'm sure I'm the only one that feels that way.

    I predicted a " W " for Henry Co. regardless.

  7. Good luck to both teams.

    Mason Co. - 45

    East Carter - 14

Mason Co. is a good team but there is one team a little better in there district and we all know who that is unfortunately. Mason should win the game big good luck.

The score is about right, the latter comment is a little premature.......And not inline with the thread or the game.

  8. The plan that I heard is to raise enough money to have it for next year. Much is still needed, donations and ideas are gladly accepted.

It would be a great addition for the community not just the football program.

Getting more people to view the idea in that aspect has been the biggest hurdle.
