The PA announcements weren't to far removed from being at a "cheesy" wrestling event or "knock off" arena football game.......
-
Boy, you sure sound confident! Probably?? Once again, I think too many underestimate what the Royals can do. But I will agree with you on one thing james-russell... it will be sad if Russell wins!!
:flame:
-
Sadly Russell will probably win the game against the royals. Should be a good game but Russell is Russell as always.
:fire::fire::fire::fire:
Where did that come from ! ???????
-
I can't believe the Camel D let this many points go up, but I'm sure the coaches will have them back to the basics this week in practice.
Good win for the Camels.
Royals gave the ball 3 times on turnovers and still scored 28.
So, much for Mason Co. only being able to score via the safety......
-
I'd stay home and save the gas....
Nope !
I want to see those 11 safety's !
Since your method behind those 11 safety's was the Camel's 14-7 score after 3 quarters against Boone Co.,
And the Royals against Boone Co. after 3 quarters was 14-3......
Will the Camel's be doing all of their scoring via the safety ?
-
Yes, and the defense is that much better than last years defense which did a pretty good job shutting down the vaunted Royal offense......
Well,......we're in trouble then.
Should we even show up ? Sounds like a blow out...........
-
The only way Mason scores 22 is on 11 safety's
No way the Camel D gives up that many points. Just look at the results of their prevous games. No way Mason comes in with the same level of offense as Conner or Boone. Boone put up late numbers, but had only scored 14 into the Q4
Wow, these young Royals put 18 against Boone Co. a few weeks ago and have made many improvements since then......The Royals also only gave up 14 points going into the 4th.
Final score 28-18
Is the Camel's defense that much better then Boone Co. ?
-
Sounds like your talking about MNF on ESPN.
Yeah, thats pretty much a joke !
I've watched a play or two go by ( IN THE BACK GROUND ! ) while they're having a chit-chat !
-
WFTM in Maysville does a great job !
Danny is a pro !
Calls the game without bias.
The worst that I have heard was on the net listening to Cinn. Bearcats football !
Sounds like 3 people in booth, ALL trying to give color, and very bias in favor of their Bearcats.
Hard to listen to ( and I'm a fan )!

Mason Co. 20
Campbell Co. 14
-
Last second score for W.Carter.
-
Anything new ?
-
Yeah, I mean who is to say Henry County isn't the #2, all they have done is shut everyone out and score 50+ on them.
You also have to realize that out of 40+ teams not every single one of them are going to be ranked perfectly, the majority and the top tier teams IMO are ranked pretty good right now, for this point in the season.
Russell did get throttled by Ashland who was throttled by Raceland, just an observation. And what is wrong with being #8, that is a pretty good ranking for Mason County because by the end of the year they very well could be in the semis along with some others that have chance.
You make a good point, BUT.....
I don't care what happened last week with Russell, there are NOT 14 teams in 3A better than them.
Henry Co. is NOT better than Belfry. The only way to prove that to me is to do it on the field. And that 50- 0 scoring margin....I promise you it will not come into play.
-
3A looks right on to me.
Just a little confused at how Paducah Tilghman is ranked so high.
What ?
#2 Henry Co.
#3 Belfry
#5 PT
#8 Mason Co.
#15 Russell:confused:
-
Not from my point of view.
Neither is good....Just a little more realism before the game would be nice.
-
Let me face mask you !
We'll get 15 Yards out of it !
-
Anyone seen the guy that was in this helmet ?
-
Dude I'm Sorry !........I didn't mean to say all those things about your sister !
-
They can't get a word in edgewise for the gloating.
Its much better to see gloating after the game then before the game.

He's got a ways to go ( so to speak ) learning the game and living up to the hype ( easier said then done )but his build and arm strength reminds me of J. Burke from Lex. Cath. a couple years ago.
Good luck Mr. Pawsat, so far this season you have been a joy to watch !

I coached against this kid two years ago when he was an 8th grader and he could have started for 75% of the high schools in this state then. Best middle school QB I've ever seen. Rowan County has a good soph quarterback as well, and the Arthur kid at Boyd County is playing behind a senior QB but should be a good one down the road too.

Belfry definately appears to clear cut second choice, but I agree with Pirate Pride...the Pirates have a ways to go right now to catch up with Central. Belfry is still trying to piece together their O-line after an early season defection and some injuries. With the exception of Thomas "Do Everything During the Game But Color Commentary" Varney, the Belfry offense has not really been as sparkling as it was expected to as well. Defnsively, the Pirates have yet to gel at the positions that were hit by graduation and don't seem to have that dominating defense they ahd last season.
Breathitt has been disappointing and have seem to struggle with their passing game.
Russell got taken behind the woodshed.
Tilghman has been very disappointing.
Etown has been less than stellar losing to Lou. Holy Cross who Belfry previously dismantled.
Mason County has alrerady lost to a Boone County who is not their normal self, they also struggled in their opener vs. lowly Paris
Somerset lost EVERYONE from last year.
The only teams who have exceeded expectations thusfar would be Henry County, Harlan County, and Sheldon Clark. These teams though seem to fall into that pack behind Central and Belfry.. it sort of looks like this right now.
Central
Belfry
Russell
Sheldon Clark
Mason County
Breathitt
Harlan County
Henry County
Estill County
Tilghman
North Oldham
E-town
Russellville
Somerset
Taylor County
Boone Co. is a highly ranked 6A team. I think #5 or #6 here on BGP.
-
Harlen Co. by 15pts.
-
Given what Belfry and Cental lost to graduation, I would have said -- Centra 1, Belfry 2 preseason.
At this point though, it looks like -- Central 1, Belfry (way off 2nd) and then who knows.
Royal Nation will gladly take that 3rd spot for now if no one wants it ....
But, we may want a little more later in the season !:flame:
Campbell County 49 Mason County 28

So,........what ? Just adding a comment to earlier posts.......
Is that not allowed?![](https://bluegrasspreps.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png)
Do you not agree that the PA announcements were cheesy and almost comical?
