I heard from the guy that announces LC's games that they might save back in black and come out to something else. I reckon we'll just have to wait and see what Friday night holds in store for us.

From the looks of it up in the stands, Whitley was still somewhat larger than LC. I was just surprised by Lynn Camp's superior team speed. The speed that Wagner showed after getting into the open field really impressed me. Looks like the young Camper line might have someone to run the ball for them next year after all.

Before I make this statement, let it be known that I am well aware that games are played on grass, not paper. Lynn Camp beat Campbellsville by more than 40. Campbellsville beat Williamsburg 68 to 36. I have a hard time believing that Williamsburg will be able to slow down Roskopf, Wagner, Mitchell, or Steele. I have to lean towards the Camp on this one.

If you can't figure out what Lynn Camp is going to run, then you probably are a huge basketball fan. Though Coach Mitchell DOES love him some trick plays...

Corbin tends to not play lynn camp, not really sure why. Lynn Camp has to schedule more than one big school, since the reclassification took some of the teams out of their district. Coach Mitchell also live by the motto that tough non district games will get his teams ready for the playoffs, which is great until the kids start getting banged up from playing 5A schools.

I am very excited about this game. I feel like Lynn camp and harlan both have amazing coaches, some of the best in the area. they lack a large base to pull players from but always stay competitive. harlan has gotten better every week but i'm still going to go with Lynn Camp in closer game than anyone is expecting.

Anyone who played single A ball in the mountains know a few things for sure 1) Teams from that part of the area (Harlan, Cumberland, Evarts, JACHS, etc) HIT. not just hit, but HIT. 2) Lynn Camp has never really been known to shy away from a slobberknocker and finally... 3) if its a close call, its goes against Lynn Camp Lynn Camp by 20, with two LOOOONG tds called back, both teams scraped, bumped and bruised needing a day or two to recover.

Roskopf is a powerful back that also runs about a 4.5 forty yard dash. He's benched a few tacklers already this season. I almost hate to pick a winner in this one, but I think I'll go with the team nobody's heard of, coached by some guy nobody's heard of, the Lynn Camp Wildcats, in a close one. 24-21

Roskopf is already closing in on 500 yards rushing. I personally believe that the LC coaching staff needs to take the reins off and let the kid put up some big yardage. Where is he ranking overall?

Lynn Camp really got up this week. I am interested to see if they can match the intensity when they face off against Clinton next week. My sources tell me that Clinton is a little less than formidable.

I was really surprised by the way the Campers came out swinging. Usually its takes them at least a quarter get clicking.

This is definitely an odd district. If I am not mistaken, didn't Berea pull out, leaving LC, WHS, and Campbellsville as the only teams?

Hard to pick against the cats and Ramblin' Joe Roskopf in this one. He really seemed to be laying the hammer down last week. the other running backs, 21 and 22 also had some decent looking runs. Plus the purple eagles have to come all the way to lynn camp, that is a 2 hour drive, and it seems those drives are always hard on the kids. i pick lynn camp 34-28, with roskopf close, but under 200 yards rushing.

Ol Crazy Dave Mitchell has a reputation for scheduling out of his teams' strength, do you think he'll keep the new mountain conglomerate on the schedule?

I was scanning the ol' Camper roster and noticed something Out of about 30 players there were over 20 freshmen and sophomores. the cats have some upperclassmen providing good leadership, but i have a bad feeling for the teams the hitmen are going to play later as this young squad matures.
