Morgan lost a lot of seniors from last years' team and I think maybe this may be some of the reason, but Morgan still has a lot of great players and I look for them to repeat this year to the playoffs. Coach Wood will have some good practices next week and I believe you will be able to see a change. There were a lot of fumbles during the game last night and I think that will change. Kids also had a lot of leg cramps, twisted ankles and hurt shoulders. These kids are fighters and they will prevail! I had a son playing last year and this year he is helping with the coaching staff. He just can't seem to let go!!! He still loves the game and wants to still be a part of it. Good luck to Russell this year also.:lol:

I pick Russell to win this one. They are an exceptional football team that deserves everything they get. We (Morgan County) have played them 3 times in the past 2 years and there was always great respect that went both ways. I predict Russell wins this one by 2 TD's.

I am really having a hard time. My son has played football since 8th grade and now he is a senior and Morgan County is out of it, his football days are over. For the past 5 years I had never missed a practice or a football game (home or away). Like real sport, I don't think I can make myself like basketball unless Kentucky is playing. Guess I'll have to get myself a hobby now that football is over. Any suggestions?

I have not seen Newport play and wish them lots of luck but I have seen Russell play and have been setting in the stands opposite from their team before. With Morgan County out, I am rooting for Russell. This is a hard hitting, fast running team and I have faith that they will take it all the way. Should be a very good game this coming Friday and I just wish I could be there to watch it. Everyone in Morgan County has great respect for Russell and likewise I'm sure. Go Russell! Win this one and on to the Championships! As for predictions, I am not very good at that and just wanted to wish Russell and Newport the best!
