  1. The refs come onto the floor at the 15 minute mark. Typically, they do their pre-game routine with coaches and captains around 12 minutes. After that, if both teams go back to their locker and neither are on the court the refs will go back to their locker room for a few minutes. I assume that's what happened.
  2. I'd anticipate Conner moving up the rankings ladder after beating both Campbell County and Madison Central last week.
  3. Heard/saw the Crazies broke the bleachers, again. Time to make an emergency withdrawal from the NKU Bleacher fund to get those fixed before the next home game!
  4. Surprised I haven't seen this name yet.....Casey McGinness from Covington Catholic.
  5. Very intense, chippy game. I'd say there were at least a dozen unsportsmanlike penalties between the two teams, and there were several blind "de-cleating" hits. And, I thought the two assistant coaches were going to come to blows after the West team blitzed on a FG attempt by the East, which apparently, is a no-no for this game. Great environment, and it was nice to watch some football in June! Congrats to the West Team on the W!
  6. This is spot on. I don't remember Nick throwing to 1B one time all game long. Once Volz entered he did lob a couple over there. Kudos to Beechwood. They either had it scouted to a tee, or made a very quick and successful adjustment.
  7. The St. Henry pitcher "CJ" is Colin Johnson. Great kid. Happy to hear he got the W.
  8. The "only" reason? That's a little strong. These two teams always play tough games each other. Yes, Cooper won both games during the regular season, but it's not like they were blowouts. Both games were decided by 5 points and Conner had the lead in both games late in the 4th Quarter. Yes, obviously, Cooper's chances of winning would have much greater at full strength, but, injuries are unfortunately a part of the game. I think Conner still had a good shot of beating them in the District even against a healthy Cooper squad, especially with the District game being played at Conner.
  9. This is an interesting question/topic, and probably deserves it's own thread. I think there are several schools that could slide up and down tiers based on the criteria you are using. For example, is this based on the ability to win now vs the long haul? Open enrollment in Kenton County or in a private school setting? Based on salary expectations? Or, the whole ball of wax? And, so on.
  10. Since we are talking specifically about the Conner job opening, some might disagree since Conner won the District Championship this year.
  11. Believe he is/was the 2nd longest tenured coach in the 9th Region, behind Coach Faust at St. Henry.
  12. Coach Trosper will be bringing 5 Conner players with him: Tanner Nyers Tyler Kunkel Isiah Ebarb Mitchell Blackfield Kyler Padgett* *assuming the baseball team doesn't make a deep run in the state playoffs
