Last post for the night... If you know someone in the Chinese government or someone who supports the Chinese government, and they tell you 2+2=4, take that with a grain of salt. Check their math again and again and again. And when you believe that what they told you is true, take that equation to a math professor and have them verify it. And after they’ve verified it, you should still be skeptical... Anyone who believes anything, as...

And this is why you should never, for any reason, trust China. Ever... Don’t do it, honestly, just assume that China is lying...every time and about everything...

I also agree with the posters above that many people may have died from the coronavirus that were classified as some other condition. It’s impossible to say someone died from something we didn’t know existed...

Do we have any data that shows us the percentage of people who died in the last year while needing a ventilator? Do we have any data on coronavirus deaths while on a ventilator in the last month ? That would tell us a lot. I believe this disease may have been with us for longer than we know but the spike in need for ventilators gives me some doubt in that theory.

IMO, it really doesn’t matter at this point as I’m only talking about investing disposable income. This virus will pass, and when it does, the market should respond quickly. If you have a rainy day fund that you don’t anticipate needing for the next few years, invest it now...

That type of investment would mean this is going to last much longer than we would hope.

Agreed. We were riding a high that was bound to bust. However, if you’ve got some spare cash, throw it in the market, you’ll see a very nice return in the next 2-3 years.

Exactly.... The idea of manufacturing something 100% in house is essentially impossible. The caster your husband makes likely took outside resources from dozens of other manufacturers, who also use outside resources from many other manufacturing companies. If someone were to do a very detailed report of how many companies and chemicals were involved in making one caster ( or basically anything else we own ) , it would shock most people....

100% in agreement. I think we were thinking the same thing just saying it differently. I’ve made a pretty decent life working in various plants, power generation and hazardous chemicals to be exact. I think most people would be shocked at the amount of manufacturing that goes into, and the various chemicals it takes to produce most of what we buy. From a simple ink pen bought from Walmart to the control panels on our military planes...

I don’t think any manufacturing site can reasonably exist without electricity. When I say chemical plants, I mean those that produce the base chemicals for most products worldwide. But yes, we should absolutely be shutting down most if not all commodity manufacturing.

Iím kind of wondering what the advantage of being one of the elites who is able to be tested is at this point ? Letís say I tested negative. Great. Huge relief. I still donít know about the health of my wife, son, parents, in-laws, coworkers and the 100s of other people I may come in contact with each day. So if you test negative and you arenít willing to absolutely isolate yourself until this thing is over, then whatís the point ?

Agreed. It seems silly to even be thinking about sports right now... I felt like 16 teams wasn’t being too greedy and would still give it a feel of a decently sized and competitive tournament.

Was thinking the same earlier. Delay it a month, only have the top 16 teams in it and play it over a 4 day stretch.

I’ll be pulling for Ashland to win the whole thing... They are such a hard team to gauge though. They seem like the high school version of Gonzaga. They didn’t shy away from competition early in the year with wins over Capital (WV), Warren Central, Butler and Trinity. We really haven’t seen them play a team that would win a game in the sweet 16 since early January due to being in a weak region. I’ll go with The Tomcats in this one....
