The Bearcats of Anderson County(4-4 1-2) make the trip across Tyrone Bridge to take on the Yellowjackets of Woodford County(7-1 3-0). Woodford comes in to this game off a win over rival Scott County, and wrapping up the district championship for the third straight season. It’s also homecoming week at Woodford as it’s only their third home game of the season. Anderson comes in off consecutive losses to district opponents in Scott County and Collins, but with their win over South Oldham the bearcats clinched the fourth spot in the district, and their first playoff appearance in some years. Woodford County leads the historical series against Anderson County with a 24–22 all-time record over 46 games, dating back to 1952.

The Jackets of Woodford County(6-1 2-0) make the trip across I64 to face the Cardinals of Scott County(7-1 3-0) in what should be the district championship game. Woodford has one last 3 meetings including 2 high-scoring games last season both at home. This one should be another high-scoring game, where a key stop or turnover could determine the outcome.

That INT was one of the most impressive ones I’ve seen and athletic to get one foot in on the one-handed grab. He may have got gotten both feet in.
