An upset, yes, but a pretty mild one. The two had played to two OT's on a neutral floor earlier in the year. Clay County had two starters foul out in the first OT of that one. Harlan County was the favorite going in though.

Clay County 66, Harlan County 58 (13th): Tyler McDaniel scored 18 points and Clay County (23-10) hit 50 percent of its shots to beat Harlan County. Harlan County got 18 points from Chad Massingale and finished 27-6.

Clay looks like the team to beat in 13th now.

I don't think this was an upset, and Clay was the Team to beat 30 years ago and will be the team in any given year in the Future. More 13th Regional Championships than Anyone in 13th.
