After this Bellevue jumped out to a lead, then Clark cut it to 64-61 when Wight from Bellevue fouled out with about 2 and a half minutes left. Bellevue struggled to do anything the rest of the way on and didn't score again until it was 69-64 Clark. The final margin comes because Clark stuggled a bit with foul shots at the end of the game... Bellevue was somewhat lost on the court without Wight...

Never good to lose to a team with "Montesorri" in their name.

That kind of goes along with the thread on the NCC/Bellevue game. Wright is THE key player.

Don't know... Are technicals charged to the "bench" and to the "coach" the same thing technically?

Is it possible there were 2 Ts for dunking before the game? I think 1 indirect (dunking) plus one direct(arguing during game) does not equate to an ejection. I think it takes a combo of 2 indirects plus one direct OR 2 directs.

 

I'll have to bone up on the rulebook section on Ts.

OK. There had to be another indirect T for dunking in order for the head coach to get ejected on the T during the game UNLESS it was considered a "flagrant" T which gets the ol heave ho.

I think that was it now that I think about it... I think that there was two T's before the game for dunking and then he got that one during the game which would make sense of him getting thrown out.. Thanks for clearing that up...

Is it possible that the rule or the way it is enforced is different in Ohio? Didn't Elder's coach get all hyper when Elder got called for dunking in pregame against NCC or CovCath a couple of years ago?

I doubt if its enforced differently. You can dunk until 15 minutes before tipoff. After that, T time.

What is the point of that rule anyway? I think its pretty dumb. What next, are we gonna tell kids they cant dunk in a game?

I think it may harken back to the days when rims could be bent easily.

 

Good for us kids in the neighboorhood that nailed old bent rims to telephone poles but bad for high schools that had to replace them on short notice.

I see but most rims these days are break away rims that are made to absorb dunks and pretty rarely break off completely. But I understand the thing about the old rims gettin torn off tho.
