I'm really bad to judge on this b/c we went SOOOO Slow. It took us 4 1/2 hours for an assortment of reasons. A couple of groups of marines finished in under an hour. Since we took so long we were very cold for a very long time. That was easily the worst part. I and another guy would jog ahead to the obstacles and do the ones that didn't need teamwork and then just sit and wait for our group to catch up. I felt bad for one of the guys on our team b/c the cramps hit him early, and they never went away. That was the #1 killer of people who couldn't go on. You get out of 45 degree weather into that windy 50 degree air and it just locked a bunch of people up. That said, I struggled w/ the monkey bars. My grip was gone as my hands were so cold. I didn't stand a chance, and the same thing w/ the rings. I am pumped that I scaled the taller Berlin Walls without any help. If you watch the videos, those walls are about 10-12 ft. tall. There is a little notch that you can get your toes on for a push, and then you grab the top and pull yourself up. That was at mile marker 10, so it was deep into the race.

If anything learn to run six miles on trails, train your grip, your pullups, you jumping both broad and vertical, and you will be fine. You just have to deal w/ being cold.

Wow!!! Aren't they 10 miles long?
Correction that should have been 2 hours.

I've been racking my brain over here to understand how that was even possible.

About ready to say that would be mega beast mode at the 1 hour mark.
