I thought kids from both teams play well and showed alot of heart. But I am so fed up with playing Pulaski and them shooting a large number more free throws. When this happens ONCE, that is one thing but when it happens over and over, that is a PATTERN. Once again Pulaski shoots 29 free throws and Southwestern 8, thats right 8! Southwestern did not shoot ONE free throw unitl almost 4 minutes to go in the third quarter, I have watched alot of basketball and never saw a game when a team does not shoot ONE until 4 minutes to go in the third. When a Southwestern kid gets fouled 90 feet from the basket in the first overtime, I dont have a problem with a no call, lets the kids decide the game. But in the second overtime 2 seconds to go, and yes once again 90 feet from the basket, same situation and they call a foul and let Pulaski shoot two MORE free throws to DECIDE the game, its Pathetic! And this stuff is getting OLD!!

If Southwestern player makes the uncontested layup late in 2nd OT then good chance Southwestern wins or when Southwestern was leading 48-40 with about three mins to go in regulation they dont turn the ball over four consecutive times, they win.........but he didn't and they didnt and they lost and it was the referee's fault. I admit that on ocassions I get caught up with the officiating also, but bottom line is take care of the ball and make the easy shots and the referee's whistle is a non-issue.

I agree Southwestern had many chances to win, my point is the region is at Pulaski and EVERYBODY deserves a fair shot, and if these lopsided free throw patterns keep going on and on and on, then that is a DISCRACE! And it has to STOP! And I also get caught up in games sometimes, but you will never see me say something on here I cant back up with stats, if you want to see problems in football you simply look at penalties, yards and the timing of penalties. In basketball the first thing people look at are gonna be free throws and fouls and the TIMING of the fouls.

Purple, I have a question for ya, I know you watch alot of high school basketball. Have you seen East Jessamine play? After the turnovers on both teams last night, I may have to make them my new choice to win the 12th, if they are as good as some say they are, I havent got to watch them play.

East Jessamine beat us 55-53 after a shot that would have tied the game was ruled to have came after the buzzer. I thought both Southwestern and Pulaski County were better than East Jessamine. However, when we played East Jessamine it was our second game of the season and East Jessamine's as well. East still didn't have Cameron Thomas at the time and they are a much better team with Cameron Thomas. I haven't seen them since then but they haven't lost many games at all. They have a freshman who has been contributing nicely and they have two seniors in Hairston and Rexroat who can knock the three ball down consistently. They have a very good chance to make it to Rupp. They have a good makeup. I have had them third all year and they have been at worst the third best team. I do think both Southwestern and Pulaski have more consistent scoring and if I had to choose one of the top 3 teams I would want Boyle County to play in the region finals then East Jessamine is my choice hands down. We match up the best with them and play them close everytime we meet them. If they have a stretch where Rexroat and Hairston are stroking it from deep then who knows what many happen.

Thanks, I do remember the Rexroat kid, imo last year I thought he was the best shooter in the region. It does seem like they are on a roll right now, also from watching some of the Boyle Co scores it seems like they are starting to play well at the right time. Thanks for the info, I think Somerset and East play next sat and hopefuly I will get to go to that game.
