Will someone text this score to Litkenhous and Cantrall so they'll quit rating them so high? The formula needs to be tweaked. Please. Southwestern hasn't been one of the top 20 teams in the state all year. And I say this with all due respect to Lincoln County. I just haven't been sold on Southwestern being the best team in the 12th region. And they aren't.

Purple Pride i have a question for ya. Didnt Lincoln Co lose by one point to Madison Central, who you said should be ranked number one, if I remember correctly, after their win against Trinity? Just trying to figure out your coments sometimes. Thanks

Madison Central lost at Lincoln by one the night before they played Trinity. I felt Madison Central should have been ranked #1 at the time because they were the only undefeated team in the state and had defeated the team we all believed to be #1. What needs to be cleared up for you? Boyle beat Lincoln at Lincoln by 7 a week after Lincoln lost to Madison Central by one. Fire away. I have answers to your questions.

I just dont see how its a HUGE loss for Southwestern to lose to a Lincoln Co team when Lincoln has obviously been playing well of late. I think Lincoln is certainly a team that could make some noise in the 12 region, and for Southwestern to go up there and lose by four without Edwards, who has been their leading scorer and rebounder in probably 6 of the last 8 or so games. I dont think that was a bad loss for Southwestern at all. Also if I remember correctly you have stated you thought Pulaski Co was the best team in the region and they lost to Madison Cetral over the weekend by 10 or so I think. Perhaps your just comparing Boyle Co scores or perhaps one game here or there for your conclusions. Anyways nothing personal man, somtimes I enjoy reading your comments but other times I guess I get a little confused, and congrats it looks like Boyle Co is starting to play well.

It's all good. Pulaski only beat Mercer by 2 and lost to McCreary Central also. I have seen Pulaski once and Southwestern three times. I still feel Pulaski is the better team and is my favorite to win the 12th. Playing without Edwards explains this loss but I never said it was a huge loss. I just don't feel Southwestern is a top 20 team in the state. Not yet anyways.

 

Maybe I should give Boyle more credit for what they did two weeks ago. When dealing with high school boys you truly never know what you are going to get from night to night.

You are right about high school kids, you never know. And maybe your not giving Boyle enough credit, I saw them play in the Mercer tourney, I thought they had some athletic kids and potential, I know they didnt have the greatest tournament up there but at that time I certainly thought they had some nice potential, they just didnt seem too interested at that time, perhaps the coach has got them to start showing some interest and team chemistry, with all due respect. But you can certainly see they have some talent and sounds like they are starting to come on at the right time.

And I certainly dont mean to take anything away from Lincoln Co, perhaps they would have won by more if Edwards were playing, I would have liked Southwesterns chances better with him but who knows, and also I hope Edwards heals up and is back to 100 percent by district time, the district is right around the corner, good luck to Boyle.

Edwards is my favorite player on Southwestern. By far. I hope he heals up also. Good luck to Southwestern. Maybe the Rebels and Warriors can get together on a nice 57 degree evening in March for a game of roundball.

Great win for Linclon Co. The 12th Regional is wide open. There are 5 or 6 teams that have a real shot at winning the Tourney and 2 or 3 more that can get hot and beat anyone. Should be a great Tourney. PC will have an advantage with the Tourney on their Home Court.IMO

Cellking I would agree with Pc having the tourney there they would have to be the favorite, I think if it were at East Jessamine or Southwestern I would think they would be the favorite. And slink I agree its bad timing going into the second Pc game, but at this point in the season Southwestern has to try and get Edwards back to 100 percent or as close as they can before district and between now and then just play hard and get ready for district. Also I agree on any given night there are several teams that could come out of the 12th region, it appears several teams are playing better at the right time. Should be an exciting tourney if all the teams that are expected to get there get out of their districts.

I agree with what you have said. I feel most of the favorites will make it to the Regional Tourney so it should be a Great One to watch.
