Woodford County 53 George Rogers Clark 49

In the prediction thread I said Greenwell was the key. And 22 is Addison Hollin. Best game of year scoring I think. Johnson had 5 assists I believe on his baskets. He struggled to score when Fatkin played behind him but passed out of it well.

Any relation to Woodford County's Clinton Hollon? I believe he's the number one baseball recruit nationally in 2013.

It's actually Addison Hollin. No relation to Clinton Hollon. He went 5 for 5 from the field and 2 for 2 from the line for 12 big points for the Jackets. Woodford County had a couple sick players too. Opportunity for others to step up!

He is the nephew of Harry Dinsmore at GRC I found out tonight. Really liked him tonight.

55 Greenwell is a really good player.
Greenwell is another one of those underated players from Charlotte Court. The kids on that team get good coaching, plays good competition, and are taught character, but seem to get overlooked because not one of the high profile all star teams. Sorry I know this thread is not about this but had to throw it in there. Good Job Dave!!!!

Clark Co gets beat 4 points in probably their poorest performance this year. I don't think either team had anything to write home about.

Completely disagree. Woodfords size and length caused Clark all sorts of problems.

Missing layups and free throws has nothing to do with size or length.Leaving people open under the basket again has nothing to do with size or length.

Woodford County stings George Rogers Clark

Just like the team’s prior outing, the Cards fell behind early, with Woodford racing out to a 13-4 lead. Clark tied the score twice in the second quarter and narrowed a 49-40 deficit to 49-47 with 41 seconds remaining, but the Yellowjackets made four straight free throws and held on for the slim victory.

Bopper Stenzel, who made a 3-pointer and swished three free throws in the final 1:04, paced the Cards with 23 points and made three of the team’s six shots from long range. Stenzel kept Clark close in the opening half, scoring 13 of the team’s 19 points.

Adam Fatkin, hindered by foul problems and Taylor Howard followed Stenzel with eight points each. Howard drained two consecutive 3-pointers in the third quarter that kept the Cards within striking distance.

David Greenwell tallied nine of Woodford County’s first 13 points and led the Yellowjackets with 19 points, followed by Jay Johnson and Addison Hollon with 12 apiece. Johnson, who has signed with Tennessee Tech and in his fifth game back from an injury, gave Clark problems in the post.

In addition to his scoring, Johnson dished out six assists, had a block and collected three steals.

At times length can cause you to miss layups, ask the Tennessee players from last nights UK game. Wasn't the prettiest game, but sometimes the ugly wins are ones you get the most out of (win or lose) and can be the most proud of, especially on the road.

Did you see the GRC-Woodford Co game?
