Very true. I viewed Austin as the leader of the O line, which really did a very nice job this year. Their performances were oveshadowed by the well earned accolates given to Patrick and the receivers and the O linemen weren't recognized as much as they should been. Congrats to Austin and the other senior O linemen for the efforts, performance and leadership given this year. Next year's O line should be outstanding, and if they are, a lot of credit for it will be due to the leadership provided this year by Austin, Aaron Robinson, Jason Waldenmeyer and Mitch Meyer.

LN Don't Forget about Drew Napier. He was also another senior offense line starter.

I saw both New and Woltermann a few times each and didn't see Scruggs (can't get to every game) and while I agree both players are very good and coaches do tend to spread the wealth for All-Star teams, it's hard not to defer to their judgement in the case of a tiebreaker.

Mexitucky. They are my picks by and large, but I do ask for coaches input (especially when it comes to offensive linemen) and use their All-Star teams as a guide. As I mentioned sometimes the coaches tend to spread the wealth. Some picks for me are easy, based on stats, seeing them play, etc., and some aren't especially when you have three or four players left for one spot.

Crud, how in the world could I have done that. Heck, I coached Drew in the Jr. Football League. Drew like the other seniors I mentioned not only played great, he really stepped up to the plate in the form of leadership.

 

Drew if you read this, I'm terribly sorry. You had an outstanding year and as a former coach of you, I was quite proud to see the development from last year to this year in particular. Well done young man; well done.

Ryan Smith had a great year, could have made the list on both sides of the ball. You can't say that for very many players theses days.
