I'd have to say Peyton is done as well then.
Who goes after Peyton? Dallas? San Francisco? The Texans would be a dream situation for him, but no way the Colts let him go inside the division. How about the Ravens if Flacco falls short again? The Jets?

No way Peyton can finish his career in Cleveland, Washington, or Seattle...right? Would the Cardinals be a decent enough suitor for him with Fitzy on the squad? Is Minnesota attractive at all to PM?

Disagree. The Colts have always been as good as Peyton takes them. Should Green Bay fire Mike McCarthy if Aaron Rodgers and Matt Flynn get hurt for the year like Manning and Sorgi did?

I'd argue it's a different animal. Indy's talent is not that strong and it's talent is aging.

If the Colts don't pick up his 28 million dollar option he is free to go wherever he wants to right?

Would it be better for them to keep the option and trade him or would there not be any takers on his 28 million dollar contract?

Someone would take a chance. You know Snider would.

True. My thought process is that had Peyton played they would have been in the playoffs most likely and everyone keeps their job. Peyton gets hurt and they clean house. Seems dramatic given the circumstances.

Forgot about him. Yeah, I'd pick up the option today at 2:57 and call Danny boy at 2:58.

Chris Mortensen @mortreport

Filed to ESPN: Irsay cleans house, including Bill and Chris Polian, per league source.

.

If Mort is tweeting it it's legit. He and Polian are right.

Snyder would be happy to pay that. He would have taken Carson Palmer this year if CP would have gone there. No inside info, but we all know how Snyder is.

He would see the $28 million for Peyton Manning and raise him another $20 million.

Mort says the biggest supporter in the Colts organization is Jim Irsay.

Biggest supporter of who?

Bears have fired their GM but say not many other changes with occur.

Chargers say Norv Turner will return next year... Very suprised by this one.

Patriots have hired Josh McDaniels back as offensive coordinator.

Chiefs have decided to make Romeo Crennel the new Head Coach.

Jaguars have hired Atlanta offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey to be the head coach.
