Illinois Freshman TE Jon Davis earned a spot on the Big 10 All- Freshmen Football team(per BTN.com). Jon is a 2011 graduate of Eastern High School. He led all freshmen Big 10 TEs in receptions. Congrats to a very deserving young man.

Great athlete, and a VERY classy kid (great family). Glad to see that he's excelling at the next level.

Watched him several times this year and he did a really nice job. Now if Illinois can get a QB that can throw the ball more than 20+ yards, the sky's the limit for him. Can't wait till next year to see how he develops. KY blew it letting him get away!

For some reason I was thinking he had signed with UK.

He initially committed to UK and then changed his mind.
