March 30, 201214 yr Author Troy Brooks '04(?) - singer in Nashville Someone sent this to me from Troy's FB page: So.... Last night I played at legends. There was a guy in a sock hat that was there watching us for a while. At about 1 or so, I started playing "she talks to angels". He came up to the stage and said "oh dude, you have to let me sing this song, this is one of my favorite songs to sing". So, me just thinking he was some random guy, I didn't let him sing because I was afraid he would run the crowd off. He was cool about it, and it was all good. Until, shortly after he left, one of the bartenders came up and told me "He was Chris Daughtry". Haha FML, sorry Chris. I am an idiot!

The Brooks family is a fantastic family. I'm glad to see Troy starting to have some success down in Nashville. For what it's worth, his brother Vaston '00 recently moved down there as well. Vaston is every bit the piano player that Troy is on the guitar. He actually just laid down some tracks on a few of Troy's songs as well.

May 4, 201214 yr Author Update on 06 grad Brett Sutton. He is teaching Spanish/English in inner city New Orleans. Brett's goal is to make the world a better place. Fine young man. Proud to say I know him.

Have heard Brett will be moving somewhere in the very near future. He does not know where yet. Currently he's a student teacher.

August 13, 201214 yr Author 2006 grad Tim Tierney will end his bachelor days at the end of the month. 2005 grad Eric McHenry is a Marine and I think he is heading overseas soon. We'll pray for his safe return.
