Anyone know how long Middle School football has been played in Louisville in regard to the public schools? It has to of started within only the last 10yrs. I'd think.

So someone is trying to tell me there's a Middle School All-State team? Really?

If there is a way to determine who the best high school football team in the country is, it only makes sense that they can figure out the best middle school football players in the state. (I hope my sarcasm came through in the post)

East leads west 14-8 at half. It has poured all day!

Yes sir, this is the 3rd year for the KYMSFA all star event. Players are selected from nominations from their coaches of association teams.

 

This year there was a 7th grade East vs West game, and 8th grade East vs West game. It was a great event, except for the rain.

I know there's not a perfect way to do the process + anytime you stick your neck out you are going to hurt feelings. I would like to thank the people that put this event on. My nephew ended up getting one of the MVP awards for the 8th grade game. My 5 year old son wasn't feeling good so I had to drive back home but was able to watch the whole thing on ihigh. Very greatful for the memories you guys have made for him+the other kids. It was run first class all weekend! Any all state stuff you do will never be perfect but you guys have a good thing going! I appreciate your efforts+ the memories you've given him along with the friendships that were built! That's the big part of it I think.

Don't want my comment to be taken the wrong way. Is it possible to find the best middle school football players in all actuality, probably not. Do I think its a great thing that is being done to promote the sport and give these kids some deserved recognition? Absolutely.

I played in something similar when I was in middle school. Optimist League All-Stars vs. Muhamed Ali League All-Stars. Lots of fund and fond memories.

I want to second your positive remarks for this great event! Although the weather was horrible, it was a great time and I was SO proud of my nephew, who played in the 8th grade game on Sunday.

 

Really enjoyed meeting you, plantmanky. Can't thank you enough for your hospitality and efforts to help us at every turn! You and the committee did a great job. Plantman and I tried to find you, stick1, but we couldn't spot your black hat and white coat in the crowd. I told him I should just get on BGP and post something nasty about you...wait for someone to immediately text you about it...then wait to see who gets up to go find a computer. :lol:

 

Btw, I didn't know the games were broadcast on iHigh. I'd can't wait to watch them. I'm still trying to dry out from last night. I was soaked to the bone. I'm still squeezing water out of my armrests.
