Final Class 2A Rankings

I am suprised that Holy Cross is not in the top 5. Convincing win in a partial game against Holmes and we slide a few spots. Dont see how but it is the time of year to walk the talk.

Wait until they play Holy cross and you will see why.

After seeing both play and if it gets to that game, I don't think that the Indians will dominate them. IMO, it would be a good game. As others have said already, I believe that Owen's game against Newport tonight should answer some questions.

Since Owen beat Lloyd earlier in the season and Lloyd beat Newport, do you think that means Owen should beat Newport easily? Remember, HC had a running clock againt Lloyd and Newport. Owen barely beat Lloyd even gaining 8 turnovers. I don't like to predict outcomes based on scores of common opponents, but if we did that here, HC should roll them dont you think?

I'm not basing my decision on Owen beating Lloyd and Lloyd beating Newport. I remember hearing people talking about Lloyd having eight turnovers against Owen County, but another thing to think about is that was the first game of the season. From what I have heard others say, Owen has improved significantly since that game. The only time that I got to see them was against Bellevue and the Rebels made it look awfully easy on both sides of the ball through most of that game.

I believe the question was answered. The Rebels have a shot against Holy Cross too. The combination of talent and determination may be enough to earn a date with NCC.

I agree.

Are you saying the Indians are less talented and have less determination than Owen?

Not at all. Just stating that the combination for Owen may be enough. The Indians are very talented. I cannot speak to their determination. Being the underdog could work to the benefit of the Rebels. Make no mistake, on paper this is a walk in the park for HC. Luckily, the games aren't played on paper.
