Yeah, worked out real good for them and Daniel Dillon, but I'm not going to hate at all. After the monster class Miller's signed this year he can come to KY all he wants and gets players, especially from my Alma Mater. This is a huge offer for Kasongo considering the bigs Miller has landed this year.

Big time offer and I'm sure it won't be the last. I just hope to get to see the kid play this year. I have heard he has not yet been ruled eligible, but the other Canadian transfer (Tony Wolter) has. You heard anything about this Wireman, do you know for sure whether or not he has "officially" been ruled one way or the other or is a decision still being determined? Last I had heard (about a week ago) he was not yet practicing with the team and was waiting a decision.

From the people I talked to about a week and a half ago he hadn't been ruled eligible yet and hadn't been practicing with the team. Not 100% sure on these details either but I am wanting to say both players may be living with adoptive families.

I think Kasongo is now eligible to play. As of early last week the word I was getting from people up there was he still wasn't eligible and still hadn't been practicing with the team. But got word Saturday that he was ruled eligible late last week.

 

 

I was talking to one of my buddy's who subs and coaches up there the other day and he told me of a conversation he heard Ray have with the principal and basically the conversation I heard was Kasongo was asking the principal if he had heard anything yet on whether he would be getting to play or not and the principal said no Ray but Alabama called for you. Kasongo's response was yeah I know I talked to them last night.

 

 

 

Saturday I was getting ready to make the drive to Louisville and spend the weekend when one of my friends was calling to ask if I wanted to get some golf in while it was nice. He is an assistant football and baseball coach there and a couple of years ago was a basketball assistant. I had been asking him about his eligibility since I had heard he had already been ruled eligible. He substitute teaches up there every single day so he is always talking to the other coaches, athletic director, etc. so he had been keeping me updated. Told me the story about the Alabama call and how earlier in the week he still wasn't eligible then told me that Friday he heard that they finally got word he is eligible. East Ridge had their "Warrior Night" Saturday and I talked to a few of the people who went and they said he was playing so looks like he got some kind of word.

Kasongo is fully eligible to play but he is now a Junior in high school (2013 class).

 

He also picked up an offer from UCLA in the last two days.
